Commander's Palace Finds A New Bubbly Way To Command The Table

Commander's Palace is one of America's most famous restaurants, located in the heart of the historic New Orleans Garden District. Founder Ella Brennen, a lifelong New Orleanian, was passionate about showcasing her city and its indigenous cuisine. She left us in 2018 at the age of 92, her family has since been carrying the torch with Co-proprietors Ti Adelaide Martin & Lally Brennan leading the charge, protecting the family legacy with the utmost style and grace.

On August 14th, 2023 the Iconic New Orleans establishment announced the launch of Commander's Palace Cuvée Brut, the restaurant’s latest and most exciting wine project. Produced in partnership with Terres Secrètes and made with grapes from the Mâconnais region of Burgundy, the Pinot Noir-based sparkling wine displays hints of red berries and light spice-forward notes, with a toasty richness to finish. The Commander’s Palace Cuvée (SRP: $42) is now available for purchase online for nationwide shipping, as well as by the half-glass, glass and bottle at the historic restaurant.

Commander's Palace has won James Beard Foundation Awards in many categories, including: Best Chef, South: Tory McPhail in 2013 | Lifetime Achievement Award: Ella Brennan in 2009 | Outstanding Restaurant Award in 1996 | Outstanding Service Award in 1993 | Best Chef, Southeast Region: Jamie Shannon in 1999. They are as famous for their service as they are for their food. A staple of the restaurant is their famous turtle soup, watch below as ex-Executive Chef Tory McPhail shows behind the veil at the three day process to create the award winning soup. The secret ingredient: *real* snapping turtle. Do not miss your opportunity to pair a glass of Commander's Palace Cuvée Brut with the turtle soup.
