Where is Mattel Adventure Park in Arizona?

Mattel Adventure Park is under construction at 9601 W. Cardinals Way in Glendale, Arizona. It will be part of the sprawling VAI Resort under construction near State Farm Stadium.

Mattel Adventure Park rides

The park will have two Hot Wheels-themed roller coasters — Hot Wheels Bone Shaker: The Ultimate Ride and Hot Wheels Twin Mill Racer, according to a press release.

The Hot Wheels Bone Shaker will incorporate the hot rod’s skull design and climb 84 feet in the air.

The Hot Wheels Twin Mill Racer is a 65-second thrill ride with an over 2,503-foot track. The ride goes from zero to 50 mph in under 3 seconds. The roller coaster features two vertical loops — one that's over 116 feet — and a series of corkscrews and hairpin turns.

Barbie Beach House and other attractions at Mattel Adventure Park

Here's what else is under construction at Mattel Adventure Park:

  • Thomas & Friends: World of Sodor will have seven rides and attractions plus an indoor play space for younger kids. It's the world's first electric Thomas train ride and interactive show.

  • A Hot Wheels-themed two-story go-kart track.

  • A Barbie Beach House will have a Barbie Dream Closet Experience involving hologram technology of Barbie herself and a flying theater.

  • A Masters of the Universe themed laser tag arena will encompass 4,500 square feet. Fans can fight for Eternia in the Castle Grayskull fortress.

  • A mini golf course will have nine holes inspired by Mattel toys and games such as Magic 8 Ball and Pictionary.

  • An Uno climbing structure.

What food will Mattel Adventure Park have?

The park will have five immersive food and beverage experiences.

This includes a Hot Wheels Legends Bar and Grill with premium bar offerings, according to Desiree Wilson, the head of marketing and sales for Mattel Adventure Park.

A family-friendly pizza kitchen will offer pizza, chicken tenders and salads.

A concession in the Thomas & Friends area will sell coffee, juice and novelty items.

A food and beverage area near the entrance of the park will have a high-end grill focused on Mexican food and other grill items, Wilson said.

A Barbie-themed rooftop bar and restaurant where all ages can gather will offer themed alcoholic and nonalcoholic, as well as sweet and salty snacks.
