Comedian Bert Kreischer has crafted much of his career around being a funny fat guy, with the 51-year-old typically performing standup sets shirtless with his prominent beer belly on full display. It seems as though those days may be coming to an end, however, as Kreischer revealed a jaw-dropping body transformation this week.

"Me at 275 vs. me at 230," Kreischer posted to social media, along with before and after photos of his 45-pound weight loss. But beyond dropping the pounds, it's clear from his defined abdominals, arms, and shoulders that the Bert the Conqueror star has also been hitting the gym.

Although he had previously appeared in shows on FX and the Travel Channel, Kreischer found viral fame in 2016 through a story about helping the Russian mafia rob a train back when he was a slacker college student. (He was also profiled in Rolling Stone in 1997 during his extended college tenure for being the "the top partyer at the Number One Party School in the country.")

That YouTube video now has over 54 million views and served as the inspiration for Kreischer's 2023 big screen comedy, The Machine, a play on his nickname.

It's unclear how long Kreischer has been on his weight loss and fitness journey, but back in May when the movie came out, he told Men's Journal that he did most of his own stunts for the movie and adhered to a strict fitness plan.

“I did, probably, I would say 95 percent of my own stunts," Kreischer said at the time. "The only stunts I wasn’t allowed to do was go down the full flight of stairs."

"I worked out really hard. Every morning I ran four miles and would lift weights," he added. "Had I not done that, I would’ve been a mess."
