Come Find Out the Best Pet-Friendly Hotel in Your State
"Hearst Magazines and Yahoo may earn commission or revenue on some items through these links."
Everyone needs a change of scenery every once in a while—including pets! (Not to mention that leaving your four-legged BFF behind to go on a family vacation can be really hard.) That's why we set out to find the best pet-friendly hotel in every single state in the U.S. (plus Washington, D.C.!)—and you'll be happy to know that so many properties want to welcome your furry friend. In fact, in some cases, we had to give honorable mentions to a second hotel per state.
So, what exactly makes a pet-friendly hotel the best? Well, for starters, it welcomes your four- (and sometimes two-) legged friends—joyfully, and with arms wide open! But for many of the hotels on this list, they do a whole lot more than just allow Fido to share your pillow at night.
Rhode Island's Ocean House, for example, offers wildly plush beds. Illinois' Peninsula Hotel has its own "Pet Menu," with options for both your pup (like the Beagle Burger) or your kitten (the Siamese Salmon Filet). And New York's Soho Grand comes complete with its very own dog park (shared with its equally pet-friendly sister property, the Roxy Hotel).
That's just the tip of the bone when it comes to the pet amenities on this list. Read on for our very favorite pet-friendly hotels in the United States.
Alabama: Hotel Indigo Orange Beach Gulf Shores
Allowing up to two 40-pound pups per room, Alabama's Hotel Indigo Orange Beach Gulf Shores wants to make sure your furry friends feel welcome from the moment they walk in the door—hence the treat and tennis ball table located at the front desk. The table also features a photo board starring Polaroid snaps of pet guests. (With your permission, they'll snap your pup too!) Perhaps most exciting, though, the hotel sits at one of the entrances to the Gulf State Park, which includes 26 miles of dog-friendly trails and its own dog park.
Alaska: Harbor 360 Hotel
Located in Seward, Alaska, the Harbor 360 Hotel is a beaut—and not just because it has complimentary treats on the premises. Each pet-friendly room on the waterfront property, which is close to both hiking trails and the beach, is carpet-free (because we all know accidents can happen). And the best part? There's no restriction on the kind of pet you can bring, as long as he or she is under 65 pounds.
Arizona: Fairmont Scottsdale Princess
If you want your pet to be treated like royalty (who doesn't?), you go to a hotel with royalty in the name—like the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess. All pet guests (both dogs and cats are allowed) are treated to a plush bed, food and water bowls, toys, and treats. Plus, the hotel sits on a 65-acre property, which means there's lots of room for running. (Bonus: There's a PetSmart across the street, just in case!)
Arizona: High Country Motor Lodge
First honorable mention incoming: Flagstaff's High Country Motor Lodge is the definition of vintage-inspired chic, but its pet policy is utterly modern. Pet-sitting, grooming, and walking service recommendations are available upon request. Plus, you're walking distance (under two miles) to both a pet exercise area and a dog park, the Thorpe Bark Park.
Arkansas: Graduate Fayetteville
All pets—and we really do mean all—are welcome at Graduate's Fayetteville location, which is just as cute and collegiate as all of its other college town-based hotels. You can bring up to two pets, and dogs will have it especially good: treats at the front desk, a dog park within walking distance, and several nearby hiking trails. Plus, Fayetteville has many dog-friendly restaurants for you to enjoy.
California: Harvest Inn
You and your pup will have happy trails with Harvest Inn's "Happy Tails Package." While the package does cost $150, there are no limits on the size of the dog you can bring with you—and it's chock-full of perks, including local dog treats from Fideaux St. Helena, Harvest Inn-branded pet bowls and beds to use during the stay (also available for purchase), and a Harvest Inn tennis ball—great for throwing across the property's eight acres. And yes, Harvest Inn is near multiple wineries, including ALL, V. Sattui, Clif Family, and Frog's Leap. Cheers!
Colorado: The St. Regis Aspen Resort
The St. Regis Aspen Resort is a sight to behold. (The architecture! The Aspen Mountain!) But our favorite thing about this St. Regis? Its furry star, Kitty the Bernese Mountain Dog. Kitty has a flawless face, hence his standing as a social media darling, but he has something else too: a "Fur Butler," who manages pet-focused events, daily walks, and other fun activities for visiting pups. Pawfect.
Colorado: Viewline Resort Snowmass, Autograph Collection
Of course, the luxe St. Regis comes with an equally luxe price tag, so if you're looking for a slightly more humble—though no less beautiful—abode, then Autograph Collection's Viewline Resort Snowmass is for you. The resort, which allows dogs of any size, offers pop-up doggie bowls and yummy snacks (with the first batch offered upon arrival). While you and Fido will find a welcome sign in your room, you probably won't spend too much time in it, as the surrounding Roaring Fork Valley has plenty of pup-friendly trails for you to traverse.
Connecticut: Mayflower Inn & Spa, Auberge Resorts Collection
Do you fantasize about vacationing in an English garden—without traveling to England? Then may we present Auberge's Mayflower Inn & Spa. Located in Washington, Connecticut, the hotel boasts once of the prettiest properties in the New England area, with gorgeous gardens and woodlands filling its 58 acres. Your furry friends (up to two dogs allowed!) will love that, as well as the warm pet bed that will be waiting for them inside your room after a long stroll.
Delaware: Hotel Du Pont
Located in the heart of the picturesque Brandywine Valley, the historic Hotel Du Pont (opened in 1913) promises to have both a bed and treats waiting for Rover as soon as you enter your room. But perhaps the most helpful perk is the hotel's "Paws in the Park" card, a handy map highlighting all of the dog-friendly environments within Wilmington, like the enormous Brandywine Creek State Park.
Florida: The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort
You can't really ask for more than the St. Regis Bal Harbour's flawless locale, which straddles the fashionable Collins Avenue and a pristine stretch of Miami's famed beaches. And yet, Bal Harbour is still ready to give more—especially to its pet guests. Your four-legged friend—which can be either a cat or a dog—gets a "pet welcome kit" as soon as he or she arrives, not to mention a bed, mat, and bowls.
Georgia: Thompson Savannah
What does everyone's favorite family member get when they check into the Thompson Savannah? A plush pet bed tailored by size, house-made dog treats from Stevedore Bakery, and a pet-friendly dining, drinking, and walking map by lead concierge and animal lover Amanda Marks (who always keeps dog treats at her desk, just in case you're in need). Two things she'll surely recommend? The hotel lobby's pet-friendly restaurant and long walks along the Savannah River.
Hawaii: The Surfjack Hotel & Swim Club
The Surfjack Hotel & Swim Club calls itself "Waikiki's most pet-friendly hotel"—and that promise holds up. There are no additional fees for bringing a pet, nor are there any weight limits on your pet. Thanks to an exclusive partnership with SUPDog Hawaii, pet owners and their furry friends get a 10% discount on paddle and surf lessons. There's even a resident hotel dog: Jack, who's available for playdates. How precious!
Idaho: One Lakeside
One Lakeside's hometown, Coeur d'Alene, is a veritable mecca of outdoor activities. (Water sports, biking, skiing—you name it, they got it.) Thanks to One Lakeside's pet policy, you don't have to leave your fur baby at home to enjoy them. Dogs of any size are welcome in the dog-friendly rooms (which are limited, so do book in advance). There is a dog walk area on the second-floor patio, where guests are welcome to take pets out. But One Lakeside is steps from a walking path that runs along the lake, so you have plenty of scenic options too.
Illinois: The Peninsula Chicago
The Peninsula Chicago is a five-star establishment—and that rating extends to the amenities for man's best friend. Just a few of the pet amenities available include: small and large pet beds, Evian bottled water, doggie room service (with dishes like the Beagle Burger and Tabby Tuna Tartar), dog walking (courtesy of the Peninsula Pages), and in-room, 60-minute massages—because, yes, sightseeing wears out little paws too!
Indiana: French Lick Resort
We truly never get tired of a doggie dining menu—and French Lick's is truly special. Tested out on the hotel executive chef's very own canine companion, it includes Steak or Chicken a La Pooch, plus a number of dishes named after some of the hotel's favorite furry guests: Moses' Meatloaf, Bo's Half Pounder, and Scooter's Biscuit du Jour. Also on site is Lucy's Bark Park: a fenced-in, double-gated green space for you and your pup.
Indiana: Ironworks Hotel Indy
Right in the heart of Indianapolis, the Ironworks Hotel Indy welcomes a wide variety of pets, including big dogs and cats. (They also allow multiple pets per room.) And once you're checked in, you'll be provided with bottled water, an Ironworks-branded mat, a dog cookie from a local dog bakery, and an Ironworks dog scarf—all the better to make the case that your pet is the best mascot they've ever had.
Iowa: Surety Hotel Des Moines
Surety Hotel's "Paw Pack" includes a variety of in-room dog treats, a chew toy, and waste bags, plus a list of the best dog-friendly bars, restaurants, shops, and parks, so you know exactly where to take your best friend in Des Moines. Complimentary beds and water bowls are also offered upon request.
Kansas: Sheraton Overland Park Hotel
Overland Park's Sheraton allows up to two pets per night, and bonus: Many of the rooms overlook beautiful Overland Park, which has been voted one of the best places to live in the United States. It's not too shabby for the pups either: Overland Park hosts a number of dog-friendly restaurants, including Prairiefire, Cocobolos, and Buffalo State Pizza—and a dog bakery called Three Dog Bakery.
Kentucky: Hotel Covington
Kentucky's Hotel Covington is truly pet-friendly, in that nearly every pet is welcome. While the "welcome amenity" consists of toys and treats for cats and dogs, as those are the hotel's most frequent guests, General Manager Justin says the hotel has welcomed every kind of pet imaginable—from dogs and cats to birds, rabbits, snakes, chinchillas, and even mini pigs. "We love them all and welcome them with open arms," he says.
Louisiana: The Pontchartrain Hotel
You want overwhelming beauty? You've got it at New Orleans's historic The Pontchartrain Hotel, which is located in the city's dreamy Garden District. (There are few places prettier for a dog walk.) You'll be pleased to hear that the hotel offers bowls and treats aplenty too.
Maine: York Harbor Inn
Behold one of the many reasons to visit the York Harbor Inn: York's beautiful beaches, which dogs are welcome to enjoy during the off-season (but also before 8 a.m. in the summer). The Inn itself has plenty to offer your pups, too, including beds, bowls, treats, and complimentary waste bags.
Maryland: Savage River Lodge
Out of its 26 cabins and eight yurts, Savage River Lodge boasts 22 pet-friendly cabins—and when we say pet-friendly, we really mean it. ("Cats, pigs, birds, iguanas, even miniature horses have stayed with us," they told us.) The amenities are stacked: We're talking pet bowls, pet towels (crucial after a long hike), and even pet sheets (the better to keep furniture clean). Every morning, when the humans get their daily baskets of muffins and juice, Fido gets a homemade cheddar dog biscuit. And for those dinners you don't want to venture to the restaurant, there's the "Bone Appetit" pet menu, complete with the lodge's signature "muttloaf" (a maple-glazed, bacon-wrapped wild game meatloaf, specially designed for pups).
Massachusetts: The Cottages at Nantucket Boat Basin
The Cottages Nantucket have special pet-dedicated cottages called "Woof Cottages." (The cuteness!) There, pups get the VIP (Very Important Pet) treatment: beds, a welcome basket of treats and toys, food and water bowls, and personalized pet tags. When you're not sure where to head with your little furry love, you can email a local: Bailey, a black lab/Brittany Spaniel mix. He'll be more than happy to recommend his favorite pet-friendly activities and eats via petconcierge@thecottagesnantucket.com.
Michigan: Mission Point Resort
Mission Point Resort is the only dog-friendly resort on beautiful Mackinac Island. When you purchase the "Pooch at the Point Package," you get a fun dog treat, daily food and beverage credit, ferry tickets, and a custom-made dog bed—crafted by Detroit-based Carhartt—to be enjoyed for as long as you stay. You don't have to leave your dog in your room when you dine either: They're welcome on the outdoor patios of Boxwood Coffeeshop & Cafe, Bistro on the Greens, and Round Island Kitchen—the latter of which boasts brand-new patios that overlook the Straits of Mackinac.
Minnesota: Hewing Hotel
You don't have to be staying at the Hewing Hotel to enjoy its pet-friendly promise: The Bar & Lounge is happy to host neighborhood dogs, too, if you're looking for a night out with your furry friend. If you are staying at the Hewing, the "Pamper Your Pup" package includes treats, toys, poop bags, and a thorough guide to local pet-friendly establishments. (It also includes the cleaning fee for your room.)
Minnesota: Lora Hotel & Event Center
Lora's general manager, Kadie, told us, "When a dog checks in, we place pet beds, pet water/food bowls, and a dog tag in the room—and, of course, we hand out many treats!"
Mississippi: Hotel Tupelo
When guests book the dog package at Hotel Tupelo, furry friends receive the following upon arrival: a locally made, guitar-shaped treat (to honor Elvis, because Tupelo was his hometown), a Hotel Tupelo dog bandana, literal doggy bags, and an information guide to all of the dog-friendly locations in Tupelo (dog parks, dog-friendly restaurants, etc.).
Missouri: The Ritz-Carlton St. Louis
As you'd imagine, the Ritz-Carlton St. Louis spoils all of its guests—including furry ones. Case in point: its newly launched Bark Bites menu, which includes options like Chicken & Vegetables Cookies in Poultry Broth and Roasted Chopped Filet Mignon. And you know each entrée comes with a doggie dessert!
Missouri: Crossroads Hotel
Smack in the center of Kansas City's creative hub—the Arts District—Crossroads Hotel prides itself on being "a meeting place for all walks of life, both locally and globally"—and that includes your furry friends. The "Woof Package" boasts an in-room dog bed and bowl, three dog bakery dog treats, and a complimentary pass for Bar K: a bar, restaurant, and event space with dog parks for both large and small pups.
Montana: Kimpton Armory Hotel Bozeman
Kimpton hotels are famously pet-friendly. As they put it, "We invite you to bring your furry, feathery, or scaly family member—no matter the size, weight, or breed, all at no extra charge. If your pet fits through the door, we'll welcome them in!" When they get inside, they get a welcome (by name), plush pet bed loaners, food and water bowls, a concierge list of nearby pet-friendly businesses, door hangers to alert other hotel guests and staff that your cat, dog, or other beloved pet is in the room, and courtesy bags. The "Ultimutt Adventure Package" also includes complimentary two-hour pet-sitting by the front desk (which must be reserved in advance) and $25 dining credit to use at any of the three restaurants on site.
Nebraska: Kimpton Cottonwood Hotel
We meant what we said about Kimptons. All of the amenities listed for the Armory Hotel above are also available at Omaha's Cottonwood Hotel, but each property has its own character. Once the Blackstone Hotel, which was known as the premier stopover between coasts in its heyday, the Cottonwood Hotel has that old-world feel to it—but with modern touches, like a rooftop garden, perfect for watching the sunrise.
Nevada: Delano Las Vegas
While, unfortunately, your pup can't join you on the casino floor, he or she can enjoy your room. From the comfort of your extra-comfy bed, you can both get room service (the Doggie Delights Menu includes Canine Scramble with egg whites for breakfast, the Bow Wow Burger for dinner, and unsalted pretzels for anytime in between). If you do have to step out, rest assured that the concierge can do a room check-in (they'll even send a text to confirm everything's okay) and walk Fido for you.
New Hampshire: The Glen House
With a $20 per night pet fee (cleaning included), The Glen House—which overlooks Mount Washington—offers pets bowls, treats, and a welcome note. Perhaps the hotel's best pet perk is that it's located right next to the Great Glen Trails adventure center, which features 28 miles of dog-friendly trails through the White Mountains. Overnight guests at The Glen House get a complimentary pass for the trails, and no pass is needed for pups.
New Jersey: Boarding House
Here's why we love Boarding House in Cape May, a little slice of Victorian heaven by the beach: The personalized "Salty Dog" board, custom dog treats made by Black Sheep dog treats, and the fact that they're located less than 500 feet from a dog park. Make your way downtown, and you'll find plenty of dog-friendly establishments, too, like Congress Hall's Blue Pig Tavern, Elaine's, and Fins Bar & Grille. And if you're visiting between November and March, the Cape May Beach is fair game for your pup too.
New Mexico: Inn of the Turquoise Bear
No matter the pet type, size, or amount, all are welcome at the Inn of the Turquoise Bear. There, you'll find welcome treats, in-room sleeping pads, and water dishes galore (in your room and on the front patio of the inn), not to mention the lush acre of gardens on which the hotel sits. Sant Fe itself is also very pet-friendly, with most restaurants, shops, and galleries allowing pets inside.
New York: Soho Grand Hotel
A dog park is a beautiful thing, but a private dog park, in your very own hotel, while visiting the urban oasis that is NYC? Magic! That's why the Soho Grand Hotel (and its sister property, The Roxy) are at the top of our list for the best pet-friendly hotels in New York. While the dog park's amenities include complimentary water bowls, fire hydrant water stations, and ample space to play, the hotel itself offers very good boys and girls organic treats, bedding, food and water bowls, and doggy bags on tap.
New York: Baccarat Hotel
One more pet-friendly NYC hotel we love is the Baccarat Hotel. Dogs up to 20 pounds can enjoy the VIP (Very Important Pooch) program, which includes house-made dog biscuits, dog beds, water bowls, and puppy pads (if needed) in all accommodations. (Photo ops like this one not included, though we encourage you to do your best!)
North Carolina: Omni Grove Park Inn
Tucked into the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Omni Grove Park Inn offers a truly serene escape for both humans and pets. At the Jasper Hotel—named after "Father of Fargo" Jasper B. Chapi—every pet is welcomed with a treat at check-in. But for $20, you can gift your pet the "Distinguished Dog" package, which includes a gourmet treat sampler and a dapper bow tie, the preferred accessory of Jasper himself.
Ohio: Doghouse Columbus Hotel
DogHouse Columbus welcomes both furry and feathered friends to stay in any of its pet-friendly rooms. Every pup is offered water bowls, dog beds, and crates at no additional charge, and there's also an on-site dog park. If you want to kick it up a notch, you can add on the "Dog Pawty" package, which includes treats and toys, a party hat or bow tie, paper plates, and balloons—and a can of Elvis Juice (a grapefruit-infused IPA) for the human.
Oklahoma: Fordson Hotel
The Fordson Hotel, located in downtown Oklahoma City's vibrant West Village District, is named for Ford—as in the Ford Motor Company. (The hotel is housed in the company's former assembly plant.) For the humans, this means you get to stay in a slice of Americana history. But for the pups, perhaps something even better: "VIP treats" at check-in, water bowls upon request, and big, industrial-sized windows in every room, perfect for taking in the Oklahoma City skyline.
Oregon: Cannery Pier Hotel & Spa
This boutique hotel located in Astoria, Oregon, sits 600 feet into the Columbia River, so your stay is all about the views. As for your pup, the Cannery offers pets a luxe Pendleton pet bed, pet treats, bowls, and bags, plus—and this is the cutest detail—a special welcome letter, courtesy of Sammy the Pug, the hotel's pet ambassador.

Plus, if you visit between October and May, your dog can also enjoy the local beaches.
South Carolina: Emeline
Charleston is filled to the brim with adorable hotels, but Emeline, located in the historic downtown area, is especially dedicated to making sure pets feel like they're home. The "Pawsome Package" includes a custom-made dog treat by Emeline's in-house pastry chef, a dog mat, a bowl, and a cozy bed. Not to mention that house-made organic pet treats are also available for purchase.
South Dakota: Under Canvas Mount Rushmore
More of a camping—or, actually, glamping—kind of family? Head to Under Canvas's Mount Rushmore location. The camp boasts safari-inspired Suite Tents, complete with West Elm furnishings and outdoor decks for your baby to splay out on. Outside the camp, you can hike or take a driving tour of the nearby national park, both of which can be done with your dog. You can even enroll in the B.A.R.K. ranger program, where you and your pooch can learn how to explore the dog-friendly areas of America's national parks to the fullest.
Tennessee: The Central Station Memphis
Memphis is a music lover's dream—and at The Central Station Memphis, it can be a pet's dream, too! The hotel offers a welcome treat bag, water and food bowls, and a pet bed upon request to all four-legged guests. There's a small green space at the edge of the hotel's parking lot for potty breaks, and just a four-minute walk away, there's an off-leash dog park: Central Bark Dog Park.
Texas: Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek
Deep in the heart of Dallas, Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek welcomes all-sized pets to its gorgeous, once-private estate. Welcome amenities include treats, pet beds, sleeping mats, pet bowls, and a guide to Dallas's best pet-friendly establishments, including a list of nearby walking trails. Customized pet food for special dietary requirements can be prepared by the hotel's culinary team, and pet treats handmade by the pastry team are also available. If you want to explore the city, both dog walking and sitting can be arranged.
Texas Runner-Up: The Loren at Lady Bird Lake
If you're traveling to Austin, however, The Loren at Lady Bird Lake is our pick. For a one-time $100 pet fee (per dog), up to two pups under 45 pounds can stay in your room with you. And once you get outside, the options are truly endless: There are multiple off-leash parks, plenty of dog-friendly breweries, and even a dog-friendly botanical garden (Zilker Botanical Garden).
Utah: Sundance Mountain Resort
While Sundance does have a pet fee ($50 for the first night, $25 for each thereafter), there's no limit on the type of pet you can bring—or the number. For any pet-friendly room booked in advance, the resort will have a dog bed, food and water bowls, a cloth bandana (or another gift from the art studio), and a customized letter to your pet waiting in your room. Of course, there's plenty to enjoy outside the room, too, including hiking trails, the nearby reservoir, and—for the humans—the annual Sundance Film Festival, which takes place each January.
Vermont: Woodstock Inn & Resort
Nestled in the heart of Woodstock, Vermont, the Woodstock Inn & Resort is truly a pet-friendly lodge. They've welcomed over 500 pets in the last year alone, including dogs, cats, bunnies, and turtles. For canine companions, a complimentary Orvis dog bed and water bowl can be requested for the duration of your stay, and tasty treats are offered upon arrival.
Plus, Woodstock itself is very walkable, with plenty of pet-friendly spots to visit. Some of the inn's favorites include: Woody's Mercantile, the outdoor patio at Mon Vert Cafe, and the trails on Mt. Tom (as long as your pup stays on leash).
Virginia: Lorien Hotel & Spa
The Lorien Hotel & Spa is located smack in the middle of Old Town Alexandria, so if you're looking for a sweet, serene, historic getaway, it's a lovely choice. The Lorien welcomes pets of all shapes and sizes, making beds and food bowls available upon request. If you do happen to bring a pup, there's a park just a block away—and if you book the "Bark and Park" package, your pet fee will also come with valet parking.
Washington: Salish Lodge & Spa
Snoqualmie's Salish Lodge & Spa offers a "Pampered Paws Package," which includes a patio room for fresh air, all-natural bone-shaped biscuits, a branded blanket that you can take home, and a bone-shaped collar tag. Most of all, there's plenty of green space—perfect for potty and playtime.
Washington: Suncadia Resort
Once again, we need to include honorable mention here. Cle Elum's all-season resort is situated on more than 6,000 acres of forested mountain landscape—a delightful prospect for both pets and owners alike. On said landscape, there's an expansive trail system for guests to explore with their pets, plus an off-leash dog park. Not to mention the house-made dog treats, pet-friendly trail maps, toys, and literal doggie bags—and if needed, Suncadia's Pet Program also offers dog-walking and pet-sitting services.
Washington, D.C.: Conrad Washington DC
If there's an award for the biggest, boldest, most over-the-top, splurge-worthy pet package, it's definitely going to one hotel and one hotel only: Conrad Washington DC. It's called the "Lab of Luxury" package, and it includes: a two-night stay in a "Bark View Suite," a pet collar and leash by Hermes, water bowls by Tiffany & Co., homemade treats by Executive Chef Nelson Lopez, a winery tour (with car service), and a photo session in CityCenterDC. Price tag? $5,999. $500 of that fee, though, does serve as a donation to the Human Society of the United States, which we think is an especially sweet touch.
Washington, D.C.: Waldorf Astoria Washington, D.C.
If you're looking for luxury at a slightly more affordable price point, you'll love the Waldorf Astoria's "PAWsidential Suite Package" (launched this past International Dog Day). The package includes a two-night stay in a signature suite, luxury pet amenities from PAGERIE, an exclusive partnership with Bond Vet with access to discounted tele-health appointments, and an on-call dedicated pet concierge.
West Virginia: Hillbrook Inn
At Hillbrook Inn, Charles Town's adorable Tudor estate, pets get their very own designated section of the room, complete with bowls, treats, and a towel. If your pup's a swimmer, that last one will come in particularly handy: There's a pond on the property, and Fido's more than welcome to take a dip!
Wisconsin: Saint Kate - The Arts Hotel
Dog treats, dog bowls, and beds are all available to your pup (based on availability) at Milwaukee's gorgeous Saint Kate hotel—but another equally fantastic reason to visit is Milwaukee itself. Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward is a very pet-friendly neighborhood: Smoke Shack offers a "Pup & Pints" Dog Friendly Happy Hour, complete with smoked chicken and treats, and Salty Paws boasts a doggie ice cream bar and bakery. Plus, the Milwaukee RiverWalk is located right behind the hotel—a perfect choice for a scenic walk.
Wyoming: Anvil Hotel
Anvil welcomes dogs with arms wide open, hence the "Doggy Bag" program, which includes both an Anvil logo tennis ball and dog treats upon check-in. Inarguably, the best pet perk of this hotel is the fact that it sits right at the entrance of Yellowstone National Park—and all of its 2.2 million acres of land. While pets are not allowed in Yellowstone's undeveloped areas, they are allowed in the developed ones (of which there are plenty).
