Colorado Ski Area Giving Library Cardholders Chance To Win All-Expenses-Paid Trip

A-Basin, CO, and the Denver Public Library have teamed up to provide library cardholders a chance to win an all-expense-paid ski trip, and it's for a good cause.

"The first winners came to spend a day at our resort on Sunday, January 28 and the next drawing will occur in February."

Also, how good is the above poster? It looks like a topsheet on a pair of custom Praxis skis or something out of a scene from Harry Potter. "Expecto Powderum!"

The good cause is inclusivity into outdoor snow sports, which can be "expensive and often out of reach for lower-income families."

"In an effort to break down the barriers to the outdoors, A-Basin is working in new and creative ways to address diversity, equity, and inclusion. By partnering with local organizations, the ski area can reach those who may not have another opportunity to get out on the slopes and spread the joy of skiing and riding."

One winner will be selected at random each month in January, February, and March. (The best months of the year, people!)

"Each of the three winners will receive a trip to Arapahoe Basin, including transportation, lift tickets, rentals, and lunch — a hassle-free experience on the mountain for themselves and three guests."

Denver Public Library cardholders can visit the Museum Pass page at denverlibrary.org to enter.

The winner may choose to visit on three select dates throughout the peak winter season (Jan. 21, Feb. 17, or Mar. 18, 2024).

If I were entering, I'd probably choose February 17th. But March 18th doesn't sound too bad, either.

Good luck to everyone who enters! You have my respect, because I am a huge fan of libraries.

In fact, if there are two pure things in this world, that would be writing and powder (the snow, not the magazine, although that's pretty great, too).

Now, they're combined.
