Colorado Resort's Free Mountain Bike Pass Comes With A Free Beer

Arapahoe Basin Ski Area is offering a sweet deal to mountain bikers looking to access the resort's network of trails. Unlike many resorts that charge a fee, Arapahoe Basin's bike pass is free, and it comes with a free beer at the resort's 6th Alley Bar and Grille!

Arapahoe Basin doesn't have a lift-serviced mountain bike park. It appears that this "pass" has been designed to encourage riders to sign a waiver and learn about the pedal-access trails.

Those willing to do so will be rewarded with a free beer.

This is a smart move by Arapahoe Basin as their growing network of mountain bike trails are becoming more popular. The Beavers Loop Trail, for example, is a stunning downhill track that starts from the summit of the resort. It's a fan-favorite.

By encouraging guests to sign a waiver, Arapahoe Basin is limiting their liabilities, and ensuring that more riders are educated about the trail system.

"Enjoy Arapahoe Basin’s world-class mountain bike trails with our FREE Bike Trail Access Pass. The pass does not provide lift access or bike haul but does ensure our trails remains stellar. When you pick up your pass you also receive a token for a FREE beer or non-alcoholic beverage at the 6th Alley Bar & Grill!"

"We do not mail passes or packs. Bike Trail Access passes must be picked up in person during operating hours from our Guest Services office. When you pick up your pass you will be given a token for one FREE Mountain Time Lager. If you would like to use the bike trails prior to being able to do this, please have a copy of your confirmation receipt available in case you are stopped."
