Colorado Resort Provides Update On New Chairlift

Keystone Resort, Colorado, is working on a new chairlift that will provide access to Bergman and Erickson Bowls, an area above North Peak that was previously accessible only by boot pack or cat ride.

Yesterday, August 28th, the resort provided an update on the project.

From the caption:

"We’re adventuring to new heights, one concrete pour at a time! Our teams are hard at work on the base of our upper lift terminal, which sits at over 12,200 feet. Stay tuned for more updates as we prepare for a high alpine experience like no other this season."

The new six-seat high-speed chairlift, which tops at over 12,200 feet, will take skiers higher than any other lifts currently available at Keystone.

Expanded lift-accessed zones include the Bergman and Erickson Bowls, affording Keystone an additional 550 acres of terrain.

In the comments section of the resort's recent Facebook post, most skiers were stoked:

"This is amazing! What a cool project!"

"I've hiked and catted/snowshoed. Really looking forward to this."

"Looking forward to this new chair and the new terrain that comes along with it!"
