Colorado Resort Closes Snow Tubing After Long Summer Of Sliding

Snow tubers, the end is nigh.

Okay, that's a dramatic way to deliver some relatively routine news: Keystone Resort, Colorado, announced yesterday, September 5th, that their snow tube park, alongside other summer activities, is now closed.

From the caption:

"It's been an incredible summer, but like our snow tubing hill (and "beautiful" summer snowman), eventually all good things must come to an end. Thank you to everyone who came out and enjoyed our bike park, villages, stables and more- that's a wrap on summer 2023!"

Keystone opened the summer tube park earlier this summer, on June 29th, and kept it running all the way until September. What a run. Other summer activities, like gondola sightseeing and the bike park, are also closed for the season.

Now, though, the resort is pivoting towards every skier's favorite time of year: winter. Part of these seasonal preparations involve the installation of a new chairlift, which will provide access to the Bergman and Erickson Bowls. This terrain expansion is scheduled for opening next winter.
