Starbucks Released Brand New Color-Changing Cups And They Are Completely Mesmerizing

From Delish

Update, May 15, 2020 3:02 p.m.: If you're looking to add a little magic to your life (aren't we all?!), then you're in luck. Starbucks has ONCE AGAIN launched a brand new set of color-changing reusable cups, and this time they're bolder than ever.

People have been spotting these cups all over and they look amazing. If you haven't tried one, they basically react to temperature, so when you put in a cold drink: boom! It starts transforming before your eyes.

And while to the untrained eye they may look similar to last year's colors, they're actually pretty different! Last year's were a bit more pastel, and this year, they're bright, bold colors. There are five cups in the set and according to photos of the label that we've seen online, tomato turns fades to aubergine, peach becomes hot pink, marigold turns to tangerine, sea turns ocean, and cobalt turns a deep purple.

So far, it seems like these are popping up at Starbucks locations, grocery stores, and Targets, so keep your eyes peeled and who knows where you'll find them!

Original: May 1, 2019 4:45 p.m. Starbucks is busy making all our dreams come true. First the S'mores Frappuccino made its triumphant return to menus, then the hot pink Dragon Drink debuted for summer, and now the brand is introducing color-changing reusable cups, which are great for the environment and your Instagram feed.

Starbucks launched the color-changing—and tbh, life-changing—tumblers in U.S. and Canada locations on April 29, and they've already made major waves on social media. "If you’re a slut for iced coffee and saving the environment (like me), Starbucks is selling a reusable color changing cup set," one fan announced. "Did I just call about 8 different Starbucks stores to find the color changing cups?" another added.

More reactions:

It's true, they're selling out fast. "A word of advice," one user wrote on Twitter. "Start calling your Starbucks before you waste your gas! Most of the ones in my city were sold out." Okay, jumping on the phone ASAP.

Here's how it works: The color-changing cups are temperature sensitive, so pour in ice tea or cold brew and watch the cups magically transform into new ombré shades. There are five colors—plus straws and lids—included in the $16.95 pack, and they'll hold up to 24 ounces of your fave Starbucks sips. According to PopSugar, Rose transforms from a light pink to coral red, Citron from yellow to emerald green, Sky from light blue to cobalt blue, Apricot from light orange to tangerine, and Arctic from teal to raspberry pink.

However, they're more than just a cool drink accessory. Stop by any Starbucks location with the eco-friendly tumbler and score 10 cents off an iced order.
