Colona kicks off its Memorial Day Weekend carnival

Colona is hosting its Memorial Day weekend carnival beginning Thursday, May 23, through Sunday, May 26, at Hennepin Canal Parkway, 863 N. Hennepin Drive.

The 52nd Colona Memorial Day parade be 2 p.m. Sunday.

The carnival will feature food stands selling a variety of carnival treats such as corn dogs, nachos, shaved ice, and funnel cakes.

There are also rides for people to enjoy such as the Fire Ball, The Flying Dutchman, and Dragon Wagon. There is no entry fee to the carnival grounds. Wristband times and prices will be posted at the carnival.
