What can we say? Little Debbie snacks are delicious.

There are few things more fascinating to us than other people’s food habits. Whether that’s what you meal prep each week, the way you drink your coffee day after day, or the one food that you eat every single day without getting tired of, it’s always so interesting to hear everyone’s different answers.

It could be as simple as the salad that Jennifer Garner eats for lunch daily or as practical as the breakfast that Eli Manning starts his mornings with. But, let’s be honest, there’s nothing more thrilling than hearing your favorite celebrity likes to sneak a bit of fun junk food into their daily diet (yes, we are talking about Courteney Cox adding Frito’s to her deli wrap).

So, imagine our glee when we learned that one famed college football coach starts every day with two Little Debbie snacks. Any guesses? Here’s a hint: it’s a Southern coach who loves these Southern-made cookies.

Nick Saban Eats 2 Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pies Every Day

Nick Saban, the head coach for the Alabama Crimson Tide football team, eats two Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pies every single morning with his coffee.

“I get up every day, I let the dog out, I have a cup of coffee, I get two Little Debbie cookies, that’s how I start,” Saban said on a recent episode of “The Pat McAfee Show.”

Saban’s love for Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pies is actually pretty well-documented over his past 16 years as the Alabama head coach. Eli Manning even asked him about it on an episode of his show “Eli’s Places” in 2021.

“Part of my motivation for getting up in the morning is I love to have a cup of coffee and two Debbie cookies every day,” Saban said. “And when I don’t have them, I’m cranky.”

And on those tough coaching days, Saban says he might even eat a third Oatmeal Creme Pie—because why not?

We get it. What’s not to love about the chewy, oat and molasses cookies sandwiched together with creme filling? It was the first-ever Little Debbie snack for a reason.

And Little Debbie gets it, too, as the brand has acknowledged Saban’s love for its cookie. After a 2019 Alabama loss over Clemson, Little Debbie tweeted, “We baked Nick Saban's two Oatmeal Creme Pies with an extra portion of love this morning.”

Saban also did a commercial for ESPN College Game Day featuring his beloved cookies back in 2010.

At this point, Little Debbie should just hook Saban up with a lifetime supply of Oatmeal Creme Pies. If Jason Kelce can get a Dippin’ Dots freezer in the Philadelphia Eagles locker room, Coach Saban should be able to get some cookies.

However, the one question that remains unanswered is: has Nick Saban tried Little Debbie’s Oatmeal Creme Pie ice cream yet? Because we need a full review from the cookie pro.
