The Collabs: Salehe Bembury Reveals Collaborative Apparel With Anta & More News
Jan. 25, 2021: Having already created a buzz with his Anta SB-01 and SB-02 shoes, FN 2020 Designer of the Year Salehe Bembury made fans even more eager for his project with the China-based athletic company by revealing accompanying apparel.
Available on Jan. 26 via Beaspunge.com is the collaborative “Nature Is Your Friend” hoodie and T-shirt, with retail prices of $140 and $70, respectively. The designer will deliver the hoodies in “Midnight Mango” and “Pitaya” colorways, while the T-shirts will be sold in “Quadruple Black” and “Sunset Peel” hues.

Jan. 24, 2021: Brazilian footwear brand Melissa created two custom looks for the Y/Project fall ’21 virtual runway show. Designed by Y/Project creative director Glenn Martens, the collab shoes included an ornate mule inspired by porcelain figurines from the Rococo period; and a classic slide with Persian rug motifs and paintbrush prints. Both styles will be available starting in May at the Melissa concept stores in New York, London and Sao Paolo, and via Y/Project’s network. The mule will retail for $250 and the slide for $98.
Jan. 22, 2021: SNS has once again reimagined a popular silhouette, this time opting for an Asics women’s performance running style: Novablast. The retailer created this look to be more than just a daily runner, dressing it in a monochrome cozy pink colorway to make it an everyday wear. Additionally, the retailer joined forces with stylist Veneda Carter, who both modeled the shoe and styled its accompanying campaign.
The SNS x Asics Novablast arrives Jan. 30 via the SNS app and will retail for $140. Buyers will be selected via raffle.
Jan. 11, 2021: For its latest collaboration, Merrell teamed up with Jenny Bruso and Unlikely Hikers for a new-look Zion Mid Waterproof boot. With diversity represented in the outdoors in mind, this iteration is an ungendered colorway that is available in wide widths and hard-to-find sizes. From an on-foot feeling perspective, the Merrell Zion Mid Waterproof boot was created for the person who wants a hiker that fits like a sneaker but has the functionality for the trail.
The Merrell x Unlikely Hikers Zion Mid Waterproof is available now and retails for $160.
Jan. 11, 2021: Pharrell Williams has designed another collection for Adidas, however the latest effort does not involve footwear. The athletic powerhouse is set to deliver the Pharrell Williams Primeknit Fine collection, a line of performance apparel that Adidas said celebrates “the anatomy of the human body” with selections for both women and men.
According to Adidas, each item of the collection features its acclaimed Primeknit tech (specifically, premium 18-gauge knit material) and is both breathable and moisture-wicking. Also, the looks feature Human Race graphic details.
For women, Williams and Adidas will offer a bra, a long sleeve base T-shirt, a base tight and a short. The looks will come in chalk white and black colorways. The men’s pieces include a long sleeve base T-shirt and a base tight, which will drop in black.
The Adidas x Pharrell Williams Primeknit Fine collection drops Jan. 15 via Adidas.com/pharrell and at select retailers.

Dec. 14, 2020: Ugg and Japanese Streetwear brand Mastermind World have teamed up for their second collaboration. For fall ’20, the collection features design cues from both brands. Styles include The UGG x Mastermind CA805 Boot ($350), which is a hybrid of Ugg’s Classic Boot and its CA805 Sneaker, detailed with signature skull-and-bones logo from Mastermind World, as well as the Ugg x Mastermind CA805 Neumel shoe ($270). The capsule will be available to purchase on Dec. 18 online, at Ugg stores and Kith.
