Max/DC's The Penguin is set to resume production after Thanksgiving after a five-month suspension due to the WGA/SAG-AFTRA strikes.

A spin-off to the 2022 film The Batman, the series follows the transformation of Oswald Cobblepot from a disfigured nobody to a noted Gotham gangster.

Colin Farrell reprises his role as Oswald Cobblepot from The Batman and is joined by Alex Anagnostidis, Craig Walker, Clancy Brown, Shohreh Aghdashloo and Cristin Milioti.

The show from showrunner Lauren LeFranc will be eight episodes long and will take place in the aftermath of The Batman. Production began in March but suspended in June in solidarity with the ongoing Hollywood strikes.

The Batman's Matt Reeves also serves as executive producer alongside Bill Carraro, Dylan Clark, Rafi Crohn, Daniel Pipski, Craig Zobel and Colin Farrell.

Max released a teaser trailer for the series in April which you can watch below
