Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart rode in a hot air balloon, and #DateNightGoals
We just assumed that Riverdale co-stars Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart are dating. It seemed pretty obvious from their Instagrams together and their general chemistry, but then Sprouse went and confused us with his vague comments about their relationship in an Entertainment Weekly interview (more on that later). However, after this weekend’s hot air balloon date, there is NO WAY these two aren’t a couple.
Over the weekend, both Sprouse and Reinhart uploaded photos from inside a hot air balloon.

Reinhart uploaded this photo from inside the balloon, then deleted it.

Then, both of them uploaded several photos to their Instagram Stories, collected brilliantly by this fan account.

Then, someone on the ground literally saw them get into a balloon together and float off and away.

The thing about sneaky celeb relationships is that you should always check their Instagrams. Are they uploading photos from the same night/event/balloon even if they aren’t tagging each other? That’s the key.
Even though all signs point towards this relationship, when Entertainment Weekly asked Sprouse if the dating rumors were true, he kinda dodged the question entirely.
“Since the show began, people have wanted Lili and I to be together,” Sprouse told EW. “People have wanted Lili and Camila [Mendes] to be together. People have wanted KJ [Apa] and I to be together. People have wanted every actor on this show to be in a union that they could make real.”
