Cole Sprouse *Finally* Discussed His Lili Reinhart Breakup and Legit Said the Sweetest Things About Her

Never in a million years did I think we’d ever get Cole Sprouse going on the record—both unprovoked and non-trolling, might I add—to discuss his breakup with Lili Reinhart, but I guess there is a first time for everything! After deciding to call their relationship quits earlier this year, both Lili and Cole have been relatively quiet about their separation…that is, until recently.

On Instagram, Cole posted a picture of Lili in the woods and had the sweetest things to say about her in the caption of his post. He wrote:

This post is radically different from the interview that Lili recently gave Refinery 29 about how rocky her mental health was around the time of her and Cole’s split. Lili pretty much said she felt like she was “dying,” and I’m not exaggerating that, btw. At the same time, though, Lili didn’t want her fans to think that her new poetry book, Swimming Lessons, or her mental state had anything to do with Cole.

“I felt the need to write [the poetry book] because I was scared—and I am scared—that people are going to try and create their own idea of what my love life looked or looks like,” she said. “I’m not saying, My boyfriend fucked another woman. I’m saying, I felt betrayed.”

And then later that day, Lili posted this retraction to her Twitter:
