Cole Sprouse Bonds with Wolf Dogs at a Sanctuary in Alberta, Canada

Cole Sprouse appears to have spent his weekend hanging with Lili Reinhart and some affectionate wolf dogs that look straight out of an episode of Game of Thrones... and he hinted that one animal bonded with him so much that Cole now considers him a member of the family.

On Sunday (July 15), Cole posted a series of photos and videos to his Instagram Story that detailed his visit to a wolf dog sanctuary near Calgary, Alberta. During the trip, we see Cole taking photos with various wolf dogs as they frolic in Canada's green pastures and seem to act almost like domesticated dogs — in one clip, you can hear Lili laugh and say, "He likes you!" as the dog licks Cole's hair. (However, these reserves exist to rescue wolf dogs that have been inappropriately kept as pets, and help other wolf dogs with less wolf DNA find new homes.)

One wolf dog in particular seemed to bond with Cole in a way that's totally reminiscent of Jon Snow and his dire wolf Ghost. Cole posted a photo of himself embracing a large black wolf dog that is looking pensively into the distance, with a caption that reads, "My son."

And we can very much see the resemblance, especially between the wolf dog and Cole's angsty but lovable Riverdale character Jughead. Speaking of which, the reason Cole is in Canada in the first place is to film season 3 of the CW show, which is now in production. The third season of Riverdale doesn't premiere until October 10, so there's plenty of time for showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa to work in a dire wolf subplot.
