Cole Sprouse actually addressed those Lili Reinhart breakup rumors, so buckle up, Bughead fans

Bughead fans have been going through it amid reports that Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse have broken up after about two years of dating. So far, the couple has been pretty coy about the breakup rumors—they posed together on the cover of W Magazine, later joking about all the speculation in their respective Instagram posts about the cover shoot. Then, Reinhart posted a super sweet birthday message to Sprouse on his 27th birthday, giving fans hope that they maybe, possibly hadn’t actually split.

And now, Sprouse himself is addressing the breakup rumors head-on. The Riverdale star spoke with Entertainment Tonight at Variety‘s Power of Young Hollywood in Los Angeles on Tuesday, August 6th, where an interviewer asked him how annoyed he was about all the speculation.

While that still leaves us with so many questions, Reinhart herself seemed to take his advice and poked fun of it in a now-deleted Instagram comment, captured by @commentsbycelebs.

In the comments section on Variety‘s photo, Reinhart wrote, “Sources say he’s single now—is he available?” And while we think she’s joking, with these two, we can never truly be sure.

At this point, we feel like we may never get a straightforward answer about what is going on, but we fully respect their decision to keep certain parts of their relationship private—even if it means we’re always pouring one out for our Bughead shipping fantasies…and then filling the cup back up when it seems like they’re not broken up after all.
