For the first time, Coffee Mate is getting into the coffee business (still with creamer, please). True to the brand’s beloved, sweetly-flavored product line, they introduced bottled iced coffee in two classic favorites: French Vanilla and Caramel.

Those who always keep their fridges stocked with Coffee Mate’s iconic creamers can now layer flavor on top of flavor to create their own unique blend, whether it’s Peppermint Mocha added to French Vanilla for a holiday-inspired sip or Cafe Mocha poured over Caramel for a decadent pick-me-up during a busy workday.

“Iced coffee is always in season thanks to our first-ever, ready-to-drink iced coffee made with smooth coffee balanced with the rich taste of Coffee mate creamer," reads an announcement post published on Instagram on October 23. "Simply pour over ice and enjoy!”

Fans expressed their approval in the comments, even as they also requested more flavors and decaf options. “Sweet! Now to get Pumpkin Spice & Peppermint Mocha added to this list!” one user wrote. Based on this response, it’s fair to expect you'll find more flavors added to store shelves sooner than later.

You can't get the iced coffee in sugar-free form yet, but according to the brand, these new products contain 25% less sugar than “the leading dairy-based competitor.” Coffee Mate also offers sugar-free, non-dairy creamers, including Zero Sugar Coconut Créme and Zero Sugar Hazelnut, along with plant-based almond and oat options in Caramel and French Vanilla.

Although fall is well underway, the rise in work from home and Gen Z's preference for iced coffee make Coffee Mate’s launch timely.

“This growing love for iced coffee—especially among Gen Z—presented an ideal opportunity for Coffee Mate to move beyond creamers for the first time in its 60+ years since inception,” Leonardo Aizpuru, Nestle’s vice president of brand marketing, said in a statement.

Available in 50-ounce bottles, Coffee Mate iced coffee retails for $5 and is now available in grocery stores nationwide. Since there are about five servings in each bottle, that’s about $1 a cup (depending on how much caffeine you need)—far less than what you’d pay at any café.
