A Coastal Blue Wedding at Montage Palmetto Bluff

If you've done your research on Southern wedding venues, I am sure you have come across beautiful Montage Palmetto Bluff! The grounds showcase one stunning photo opp after the next and Amy Arrington Photography captured every single one for this beautiful couple from the whimsical willow trees to their intimate moments. The bride and groom, along with Ashley Rhodes Event Designs detailed the day with an array of greenery and soft white florals from EM Creative Floral and intricate blue and white linens from La Tavola. Top it off with their adorable four-legged friend as their 'ring bearer' and you have quite the picture perfect wedding day!

From Amy Arrington Photography...Kira and Steve had a very inspirational wedding! The environment at Montage Palmetto Bluff is pretty special, and the details from their wedding were the best! They included the perfect shade of light blue as the primary color throughout their coastal wedding theme. When their wedding guests arrived at Palmetto Bluff, they had the best welcome bags ever waiting for them. The burlap welcome bag included a weekend itinerary, a Turkish towel beach towel, personalized drinking cups with their wedding logo featuring their dog, rose lemonade, praline pecans, and lots of other yummy snacks.

On Friday, there was a welcome pool party! It was such a great idea to have a pool party because all of the kiddos had a blast swimming while the couple and all of their guests got to visit. The pool party favors included the cutest pineapple and palm tree cookies as well as hand-crafted popsicles!! What a good time!

The wedding day was such a dream! Kira's dress was unique and gorgeous! Their dog was their ring bearer, and probably the most well-behaved dog on the planet. For their ceremony, seating was provided both inside and outside of the church. Guests inside of the May River Chapel sat in the pews, and all of the windows were opened so that guests seated outside under the fun umbrellas could also be a part of the ceremony.

Afterward, Kira and Steve exited the church to the amazing sounds of a gospel choir. The singing and clapping, and the energy of the gospel choir were electric. One of my favorite parts of the wedding day was after the wedding ceremony when Kira and Steve read their wedding letters to each other...

Neither of them got to read their letters before the ceremony, so I suggested that they leave cocktail hour for a few moments to go behind the church and read their letters out loud to each other. It was one of the most intimate, heart-warming experiences to be a part of and capture their emotions.

The dinner reception was outside under a tent on the Village Green Lawn. During dinner, the most amazing sunset lit up the sky with colors of pink, orange, and yellow. Everyone kept talking about how they had never seen the sky look that color. It was absolutely incredible and what perfect timing.

After dinner, the party continued inside of the Oak Ballroom with the bride and groom dancing the night away with their guests. At the end of the night, Kira and Steve were sent off with sparklers!

From the Bride and Groom... From the very beginning, Steve and I knew our wedding day wouldn't be complete without a few things - the most important of which was having our sweet dog, Boone, by our side for every part of the weekend! Montage Palmetto Bluff was the PERFECT venue for this! As our family and friends all know our love for Boone, it was no surprise for them to see our custom watercolor crest for the weekend featured of course, Boone! We had so much fun finding unique ways to incorporate this crest throughout the weekend, from a custom cornhole set, to custom plastic cups, to the escort card display. Our favorite of all, the "Boone's Bourbon" custom napkins that sat at our bourbon wagon! In addition to Boone, we always knew we wanted the weekend to have an atmosphere of a casual, fun, outdoor summer party - in a beautiful setting! We knew seeing all our guests happy and enjoying themselves would give us the greatest joy. We truly wanted it to be one big party! Given the heat in South Carolina in June, we loved the idea of a pool party! Our wedding planner, Ashley Rhodes, helped us execute our vision for this perfectly - with a Friday night pool party, complete with a Savannah Pops popsicle stand and popsicle cocktails! One of our favorite memories of the weekend was seeing Boone splash around in the water with all of our laughing guests. It so perfectly captured everything we envisioned for the weekend!A few other moments we'll never forget were those shared with our family. For the ceremony, the wedding party started in the River House, and had a short walk to the Chapel outside on the lawn. I will always be so thankful for these few extra moments I had arm in arm with my Dad. I was a ball of nerves, but he was able to calm them just like he'd done so many times before!Steve's mother-son dance will be a moment he'll never forget as well. Having those few moments to thank her for shaping him into the man he is today was very special to him! We were also blown away with all of our wedding toasts! From my two sisters' hilarious back and forth speech, to Steve's brother's thoughtful, touching speech - there wasn't a dry eye in the tent! Given my dad's love for public speaking and making people laugh, it was no surprise his speech was comedic and thoughtful and amazing. My favorite part however was my mom's break from tradition when she gave a toast at dinner as well. She has the purest heart and hearing her speech filled with pride and joy in me as a daughter, and Steve and I as newly husband and wife, meant the world to us.After dinner, our wedding planner truly captured the "fun" spirit we wanted, setting up the Oak Ballroom for dancing complete with neon sign reading, "May I have this dance?" mounted on a boxwood greens wall, a champagne tower, lounge seating, and the most incredible DJ, DJ Rehab! Our guests raved about DJ Rehab for WEEKS after! The night was complete with a sparkler send off! It was the absolute perfect way to end the magical weekend. One of the best pieces of advice we received for the wedding was to take moments throughout to step away, just the two of us, and truly take it all in. Our closest family and friends, all in one place to celebrate our love and the amazing adventure to come! I'll always remember standing with my husband by my side, as the sky was lit up with the most incredible sunset we had ever seen, looking in at the tent filled with so much joy, smiles and laughter! My heart was bursting with love, so grateful that all our closest family and friends had traveled there to celebrate with us! I was absolutely overwhelmed.
