And just like that, the 2021 CMA Awards have come and gone, but all that star power in the room made for an incredible night for country music fans. With Luke Bryan as the show's first ever solo host and birthday girl Miranda Lambert opening the show with a stellar medley of her hit songs over the years, "Country Music's Biggest Night" had a lot of highlights (some that even had us grabbing for the tissues).

Maybe it's the days getting shorter or the holiday movies that always put us in our feels, but the CMAs had us and fans getting pretty emotional. Not only were there powerful performances from artists like Jennifer Hudson, Chris Stapleton, and Luke Combs, but the emotions ran high during some acceptance speeches.

Just a few days after getting eliminated off of Dancing With the Stars, Jimmie Allen scored BIG. The "Make Me Want To" singer was announced as the CMA's "Best New Artist of the Year" and let's just say that the tears started rolling.

The CMA's shared his acceptance speech on Instagram with a simple caption that sums up Jimmie's past year: "Well deserved, @JimmieAllen ❤️." After composing himself after a wave of emotions, he began his acceptance speech by first thanking his late father who introduced him to country music, his wife, kids, and of course, his manager who discovered Jimmie singing at Puckett's Grocery & Restaurant in Franklin, TN. Despite the many ups and downs in his career, Jimmie got his well-deserved recognition. Needless to say, fans ran to the comments to share their excitement for Jimmie's win.

One fan commented, "THIS MADE ME CRY!!!!!!! I felt his emotion! ❤️" while another wrote "I was SO happy for him! Great category of nominees. Very deserving!!!" Another person left this sweet message among a sea of compliments: "A precious gem of a man who must be protected at all costs."

Later that night, Jimmie wowed fans with a performance of his hit single "Freedom Was a Highway." After his big win, it was oh-so-fitting to show off the talent that his fans always saw in him.

Just when we were composing ourselves, Carly Pearce was awarded the trophy for "Female Vocalist of the Year" and once again, we were scrambling to find a new box of tissues. The "Next Girl" singer could hardly contain her emotions as she accepted her award. She was literally speechless until fellow nominee Ashley McBryde joined her on stage to offer some support and comedic relief.

Carly was fighting back tears and went on to say, "Country music saved me in a time that I needed it and I just wanted to let you guys know that this is all I've ever wanted in the entire world and I just wanted you to know that country music is all I love. Thank you so much."

Her new boyfriend, former MLB player Riley King shared in the excitement and fans are happy to see them together at their first high profile, public outing. People flooded the comments with messages of adoration for Carly like "The best moment of the night!!🙌❤️👏😢," "Talk about a tear jerker! She’s so dang humble and that’s why I love her" and "Congratulations Carly! Well deserved! ❤️."

Needless to say, the 2021 CMA Awards was quite a night and congratulations to all of the winners as well as the talented nominees!
