Clyde Singleton's Nine Club Episode Is Pure Entertainment From Start To Finish (Video)

Clyde Singleton discusses growing up in Jacksonville, Florida, going "pro" for Acme Skateboards, ruining Jamie Thomas' purple Planet Earth pants, meeting Natas and Gino and getting fully on 101, staying with Fabian Alomar, passing up the opportunity to ride for Menace...the list goes on!

It's a jam packed episode from one of skateboarding's most decorated characters. Stories for days, jokes for days, zingers for days...Clyde is as real as it gets. Press play and let the history lesson begin.

Recalling the time he fell off a bridge in Prague and woke up in ICU is pretty heavy. And that's just a sliver... From there we hear about the beginning and end of Aesthetics, his move to Zoo York, his Minority Report video all the way to going to culinary school, the return of Aesthetics, his podcast “WCRP on Skateboarding” and so much more. It's easy to forget how much this dude has seen and how many people he's influenced, and continues to today.

From his soft spoken tone fall more than a few skateboarding tales spanning multiple eras. Plus, the fact that the episode starts with his story about walking up to the wrong house before arriving to The Nine Club is amazing (ha!), to laying out his outfit the night before like it was his first day of school, it's literally pure entertainment from start to finish.

Clyde is a straight up OG—you can't argue it! And his love and dedication to skateboarding is undeniable. He's made such a huge impact on the culture and still has that same enthusiasm on and off the board. At just under four and a half hours (yeah, heavy one!), this episode is worth every second.
