A cause of death has finally been revealed for S Club 7 singer Paul Cattermole, who passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at the age of 46.

In a new statement from a spokesperson for the Dorset Coroner's Office, which was shared with E! News, it was confirmed that Cattermole passed away due to natural causes, though a specific cause was not announced.

"We confirm that Mr. Cattermole died from natural causes and our investigations have concluded," the spokesperson reported. "As his death was from natural causes there will be no inquest."

It was just a week after the pop group announced a comeback tour that they had to announce Cattermole's passing, sharing, "It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved son and brother Paul Cattermole," in a statement.

At the time, the cause was undetermined, though police said that there didn't appear to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

On Twitter, the band added, “We are truly devastated by the passing of our brother Paul. There are no words to describe the deep sadness and loss we all feel. We were so lucky to have had him in our lives and are thankful for the amazing memories we have. He will be so deeply missed by each and every one of us. We ask that you respect the privacy of his family and of the band at this time.”

In a video posted on Instagram earlier this week, the band confirmed that they would be continuing with their comeback tour, though member Hannah Spearritt, who Cattermole previously dated, elected not to participate.
