This insanely luxurious sleep system went viral in 2022, almost entirely thanks to TikTok. App users went bananas over its “vanilla girl aesthetic” and even how much they loved putting it together. How good does bedroom furniture assembly have to be to inspire you to make a video about it? Oh, and did we mention the fact that it’s also ridiculously comfortable? It’s almost like … sleeping on a cloud. Get it?

The problem is that the OG cloud bed is pricey—like seriously pricey. We’re talking a starting price of more than $2,700 and as much as $4,500 for the deluxe, custom, super-premium version. Most of us normies don’t have that kind of cheddar to drop on a bed, no matter how much we’d love to. That’s why we wanted to find the best cloud bed dupes. We spent the last six months researching and comparing dozens of contenders to find the seven best cloud bed dupes of 2023. The best part? Some cost less than half as much as the real thing, but feel every bit as amazing.

Dawson Bed

Castlery makes some of the sexiest furniture and housewares around. That includes swanky bedding and beds, too, and its Dawson Bed is no exception. It’s all the vanilla girl vibes of the original RH cloud bed: A wide, low-slung, upholstered frame, a cushy headboard, and a legit cloud-like vibe. The duped look is so close, in fact, that it’s almost impossible to tell the difference without looking at both cloud beds side by side.

As with everything Castlery, this bed is made with premium, high-quality materials all around. That includes super plush upholstery on the headboard and rails and a sturdy, durable frame that’ll last for years, no matter how hard you “sleep” on it.

Our only beef is that this bed isn’t as easy to assemble as RH’s genuine cloud bed. But we found that two reasonably smart people can put it together pretty quickly. Plus, it’s only available in one color (Beach Linen), which might be too bland for some. Still, can you really complain when it costs less than half of the OG cloud bed? Looks-wise, this cloud bed dupe is close to the original. The low-to-the-ground frame isn’t as wide or as low as RH’s. While the overall vibe is clean and homey, and it’s available in a handful of colors, it’s just not quite as plushy or luxurious. But we’ll still give Mercury Row points for trying.

That’s because this cloud bed dupe has two big things going for it. The extra storage is amazing and something Restoration Hardware’s version doesn’t offer. But, even better is the price. It regularly sells for under $1,000, but you can often find it on sale for less than $500 (!).

It’s a near-perfect cloud bed dupe with a low-slung design and an all-around upholstered look, from the headboard to the rails. The frame isn’t quite as hefty and plush as the RH original, but it’s a close enough doop.

One of the things we love most about this option is the solid wood frame. It’s extremely durable and built to last, no matter what kind of after-dark shenanigans you like getting into. On the downside, that means that it’s significantly heavier than other options made with plywood or manufactured wood. You might want to consider splurging on white glove delivery or whatever premium option is available to deliver it all the way into your bedroom (rather than just leaving it at your doorstep).

Lastly, we can’t overlook the price. With both sizes coming in around $1,000 or less, this bed is an amazing value. A queen-sized version will run you less than $900. That’s a fraction of the price of the OG Restoration Hardware model with the same high-quality construction. The only downside? It’s frequently out of stock, so don’t wait to smash that buy button if you notice it’s suddenly available.

The bad news is that it’s roughly $2,000 more than the already pricey fabric model. But if that OG upholstered look isn’t disco enough for you, there’s good news. Wade Logan’s Anabell bed is a legit faux leather dupe for under $1,000—seriously.

It’s a pretty good imposter of the RH original. That means an ultra-low design, a wide upholstered rail all around, and an overall sleek Scandinavian vibe that elevates the look of any bedroom. The headboard is super-low, too, which sets this model apart from the one that it’s impersonating. But if you’re going for minimalist chic, that could be a good thing.

On the downside, it’s only available in white or black, and some reviewers complain of long delivery times. Bummer. But every size costs less than $800, and we’re not going to lie: If waiting a little longer than we’d like means saving a few thousand dollars on the cloud-like bed of our dreams, we’re all in.
