Closed to Visitors, Atlanta Nursing Home Asks for Letters for Residents
With nursing homes across the country restricting visitors in order to protect their at-risk residents from the deadly coronavirus, one Atlanta senior care facility has come up with a sweet way to keep their residents’ spirits up.
AG Rhodes, a nonprofit nursing home with three locations in the Atlanta area, is asking people to send letters and words of encouragement to their residents to help keep them from “feeling so isolated and alone during this time of uncertainty.”
It’s also a fun and wholesome activity for kids while they’re home from school.
You can also send your notes via email to waystohelp@agrhodes.org. They will be printed out by staff and delivered to residents. But please, the facility asks, do not drop your letters off in person.
