How to Clean Your Kitchen Faucet Like a Champ

When it comes to kitchen-sink gadgetry, it’s one of the coolest inventions of modern times: the faucet spray head. (Seriously, how else would you clean every nook and cranny of your dishes?) Still, while we wipe the basin religiously, we often neglect to give the faucet the TLC it deserves. Here, a fix.

What you need:

• A microfiber cloth

• vinegar

• a toothbrush

How to clean your faucet:

Step 1: Dip the microfiber cloth in a bowl of vinegar and rub the cloth over the aerator on your spray head (the part where water comes out).

Step 2: Next, use a toothbrush to gently scrub the same area to loosen any residual debris or food that may have gotten stuck in the holes.

Step 3: Let hot water flow through the nozzle for a few minutes. You’re done.

Bonus points:

If your kitchen spray head is on a retractable hose, it never hurts to use the microfiber cloth to give that a scrub, too. (Think about all the sudsy and food-filled water it’s probably been dunked in. Ew.)
