Claudia Conway is in LA Right Now Trying Out For "American Idol"

TikTok activist Claudia Conway has returned to the platform after a short break to share that she is currently in LA, auditioning for American Idol. The 16-year-old shared shots from the set of the show and even got to hang with judge Katy Perry while there.

"Hey guys! I'm here at American Idol confessional," she says in a video. "I met Ryan Seacrest today and I have my audition soon so stay tuned for that. I'm very very nervous, but very excited."

Claudia also shared that her father, George Conway accompanied her to LA for the audition. She posted a TikTok of her dad participating in the popular "Potential Breakup Song" trend, captioning the vid, "George is ready @americanidol."

While on set, Claudia also got to spend some time with Katy Perry, who is a judge on the show. Katy posted a video to her Instagram story with Claudia. "Well well well, let the games begin because Claudia just tried out for American Idol," she says, showing off the TikToker.

Claudia's mom, former White Counselor Kellyanne Conway told People that "the last three days have been a whirlwind of interviews, rehearsals and the actual audition. [Claudia] calls it the 'coolest experience' of her life."

According to Kellyanne, "Claudia was born singing" and "she has been belting it out ever since." She continued, saying, "We are proud of Claudia for entering the arena and sharing her beautiful voice and inspirational message about mental health with others."

This comes after Claudia and her mother publicly fought on social media last month following their COVID-19 diagnoses. Claudia accused her mother of lying about her positive test results, but she later backtracked and explained that it was "a miscommunication" and her mother "did not lie" to her.

It's nice to see that the mother and daughter are seemingly on good terms once again and Kellyanne is supporting Claudia while she chases her dreams.
