Classic Christmas movies will be screened at Regal theaters through Dec. 23, plus how to stream

It’s time to turn on the Christmas movies, but instead of watching them in your living room, how about opting for the big screen and some movie theater treats?

If you’re eager to see the adorable Cindy Lou Who or have been waiting all year to follow the shenanigans of Buddy the Elf, the wait is over. Regal Cinemas is re-releasing four classic Christmas movies in theaters this year.

Through Dec. 23, Regal theaters will offer screenings on select dates of “The Polar Express”; “The Grinch (2018)”; “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation"; and "Elf,” which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.

"Elf" will be back in theaters during the 2023 holiday season.

All tickets, regardless of showtime or the age of the ticketholder, will be $5. Each movie will be screened only on select days, so be sure to check local dates and times and get tickets early to avoid showing up at a sold-out theater.

How to stream at home

If there are no tickets left to see your favorite Christmas movie in theaters, there’s no need to turn into the Grinch.
