If you think about it, the Christmas movie genre has become an empire within itself! What other movie category is there that has about a billion and one subcategories under it? Like, if you don't want just any holiday flick, you could opt for a romantic Christmas story, or maybe a Christmas comedy. Heck—you can even get as specific as the best '80s Christmas movies or a list of Dolly Parton Christmas films! Of course, if we're being honest, nothing can beat a classic Christmas movie! You know, the ones that can fit any mood at any time—and just never seem to get old? Well, we made a list of our favorite classic Christmas movies!
Some of these were released so long ago that they're only available in black and white—yet somehow, watching beloved films like It's a Wonderful Life and Miracle on 34th Street have become a Christmas tradition. Then there are iconic characters like Kevin McAllister in Home Alone who always manage to get a laugh. And let's not forget the charm of Frosty or Rudolph and the warm and fuzzy feelings we get when we see them on the small screen.
