Clare Crawley Kept the Dress That She Told Off Juan Pablo in Because “It Was the Most Empowering Moment”

From Cosmopolitan

  • Future Bachelorette Clare Crawley hopped on Instagram yesterday to share that she kept the dress she wore when Juan Pablo Galavis dumped her on The Bachelor.

  • She calls it “the most empowering moment of my life.”

Wow, add this to the list of reasons why I’m so frickin’ pumped for Clare Crawley’s season of the Bachelorette: Clare just shared that she kept the dress that she wore to Juan Pablo Galavis’ finale rose ceremony all the way back in 2014—and let’s take another look at that dress, shall we?

Yesterday, Clare, bored like the rest of us, was cleaning out her closets and revealed that she still has the dress Juan Pablo dumped her in. She wrote, “Cleaning out closets today...look familiar?!” And added, “Fun fact: the entire zipper is shredded and unusable because I ripped this dress off as soon as I got in the car.”

She then revealed why the dress is still taking up precious closet space, writing, “HOWEVER! 2 reasons I kept it: 1) Cary hand-beaded this and it meant the world to me. 2) It was the most empowering moment of my life.”

And if you don’t know what Clare is talk about here (and hello, welcome to Bachelor Nation), after Juan Pablo dumped her, she epically told him off, saying:

I lost respect for you because I’ll tell you what. I thought I knew what kinda man you were. What you just made me go through? I would never want my children having a father like you.

And ’cause I know that you have the extra time on your hands, please join me in watching this clip of Clare dragging Juan Pablo on loop until one of us decides that we need to get up to get another quarantine snack:
