'Claim to Fame' Player's Elimination Leaves the Whole House in Tears

Claim to Fame is back for Season 2, and we've now seen seven the contestants jettisoned from the game. The reality show invites 12 contestants to live in a Hollywood mansion, each with an A-list celebrity relative that they must keep secret. Each week one nepo-baby gets their 'claim to fame' revealed. Whoever can keep their famous relative under wraps until the end takes home the $100,000 prize.

Who was eliminated during Episode 7 on Claim to Fame Season 2?

With Chris and Gabriel seemingly in the top spots on the leaderboard given how many clues they'd been given access to, the remaining four contestants Hugo, JR, Karsyn and Monay banded together in an attempt to eliminate one of the two. In the shredder challenge, however, Chris and Gabriel won the last clue in the wine cellar (Gabriel's), leaving the remaining contestants to try and decipher who Chris was related to. Despite Elton John being British (a fact no one seemed to remember), Hugo convinced the others that Chris was related to the "Tiny Dancer" singer based on a clue about wearing colored coats (actually a reference to Donny Osmund's starring in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat).

At the guess off, Gabriel put Hugo in the bottom while Chris nominated himself. Hugo, who wanted to blindside Chris, convinced the others to vote him to be the guesser. However, when he incorrectly guessed that Chris was related to Elton John, his celebrity relative was revealed instead.

After an incorrect guess, Hugo was revealed to be the grandson of Jimmy Carter through his daughter Amy Carter. Unlike most weeks in Season 2, there was no video message from the celebrity relative, and Hugo revealed that was due to the fact that his grandfather had begun hospice care. Hugo shared what an inspiration his grandfather, peanut farmer, former President of the United States and longtime Habitat for Humanity activist, had been for his life. By the time he made is final exit, there wasn't a dry eye in the house.

What were the clues from the Claim to Fame Episode 7 shredder challenge?

During this week's challenge, the contestants dug through large bags of shredded paper in order to find bits of dossiers about the other players' celebrity relatives. While they flashed quickly on our screens and were then shredded by the contestants, I meticulously copied down their contents for you.
