City of Arp to host 2-day Strawberry Festival

ARP, Texas (KETK) — The City of Arp will host a two day Strawberry Festival where people can expect live music, activities and food trucks.

According to a release, the event will be held on April 27 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and April 28 from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. People can expect live music from Fisher and the Hooks and Train Rides by Mr. Tony. The release said there will be events including balloon art and face painting, an ax trailer, a mechanical bull and a baking contest. Food trucks and vendors are also expected to be at the festival.

The baking contest will be held on April 27 where people can bring their strawberry themed sweet treat to the Arp Community Events (ACE) table between 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. The winner will be announced at 3 p.m.

ACE is seeking help in finding a unique name for their strawberry mascot. ACE said the winner will receive a $50 gift card and a strawberry festival basket of goodies.

ACE will also recognized Arp High School Seniors and announce scholarship recipients.
