For home goods retailer The Citizenry, social consciousness is a leading tenant of their brand mission. The company is committed to partnering with global artisans to bring consumers ethically sourced, sustainable, premium home goods at an affordable price. And this Black Friday, the company is taking its dedication to social justice one step further thanks to a new partnership with the Santa Maria Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to providing education for vulnerable girls in rural Colombia.

On Black Friday, The Citizenry will donate 100% of its profits to the Santa Maria Foundation. Yes, you read that right—all profits made on what is typically the biggest shopping day of the year will be directly donated to disadvantaged girls. The idea behind the partnership is to fund a year of school operations and music lessons for 165 girls, including teachers, counselors, classroom supplies, and musical instruments.

These efforts are especially important: In Colombia alone, 802,000 children are orphaned as a result of war, violence, extreme poverty, or parental drug use and most of these at-risk children won't have access to education. Thanks to the Santa Maria Foundation, whose goal is to empower young women through education and the arts, that is starting to change.

The Citizenry estimates that every $130 spent will fund one month of school for one girl. The brand hopes to sell enough to fund a full year for 165 girls, so to make things easy for shoppers, the brand is lowering the price of their ultra-cozy alpaca throw blankets, which are hand-woven in Peru, from $155 to $130. I don't know about you, but I'll be buying one for everyone on my list this year.
