Cities With the Most Handsome Men Ranked

Plenty of cities have a reputation for having good looking people — women and men — based on the fitness levels of their residents, for example. But the city with the most handsome men might surprise you.

Believe it or not, the northwestern city of Seattle is the home of the most handsome men in the country, according to a survey out on Friday from GroomingLounge.com.

With the understanding that taste in looks is obviously subjective, the criteria in this survey measured men’s commitment to personal appearance in each city. GroomingLounge.com based the findings on the following: the amount spent on personal care services, personal care products, and shaving needs per man; the amount spent on apparel per man; and the fittest cities in the nation.

Grooming Lounge found that men in Seattle spent the most on personal grooming, shelling out about $682 on personal care items and services annually, while men in Miami spent only $472.

This is the second incarnation of the Most Handsome Cities List. Compared to the 2015 results, only the top two spots remained the same. What’s changed? Portland beat out D.C. for the third spot this time. New York and Boston both fell a few spots, while Minneapolis moved up, and Raleigh, N.C., made its first appearance on the list.

  18. Phoenix, Ariz.

  19. Los Angeles, Calif.

  20. Las Vegas, Nev.

  21. Philadelphia, Pa.

  22. Miami, Fla.

  23. Dallas, Texas

  24. Houston, Texas

But maybe Seattle’s first-place spot isn’t that surprising, since another recent report ranked the home of Amazon.com and Starbucks as the fittest in the country. (Jackson, Miss., was ranked the fattest).
