There are some people who have been famous...well, since forever. That category of Hollywood celeb certainly includes Cindy Crawford, who moved to New York City in 1986 to pursue modeling and immediately made a splash—just four years later, she landed the cover of Vogue alongside four other iconic supermodels. But more on that in a bit! For now, what’s important to know is that all of Cindy’s hard work over the years has resulted in her making some serious bank. Just how much, you ask? That’s where we come in. Let’s get into it!

Cindy Crawford’s modeling career is prolific

Unclear whether or not the signature mole above her lip is insured à la Mariah Carey’s voice, but Cindy’s look and iconic strut resulted in her being crowned as one of the five “Original Supermodels” along with Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, Christy Turlington, and Tatjana Patitz. The models (all of whom are household names at this point) were each given the distinction after they were all featured on the cover of a January 1990 issue of Vogue, which means all of Cindy’s fame over literal decades upon decades = A LOT of $$$ in modeling deals.

Apart from dominating the catwalk and magazine covers, Cindy has appeared in music videos for legends including George Michael, Jon Bon Jovi, Duran Duran, and Taylor Swift as the headmistress of the singer’s squad, which is...iconic. If you thought that was a way for me to bring up the “Bad Blood” music video so we could collectively watch/fangirl over it, you’d be right!

Let’s also not forget that Cindy was also the face of MTV’s House of Style from 1989 to 1995, and she’s practically a Friend of Disney after appearing on Wizards of Waverly Place.

...Which means people pay for her stamp of approval

Back in 2004, Cindy teamed up with Dr. Jean-Louis Sebagh to launch Meaningful Beauty, a collection of skincare and hair care solutions that reportedly generates sales of more than *checks notes* $100 million (!!), per WWD. The publication sat down with the supermodel and the doctor back in 2019 to discuss the company and how it originated.

“I wanted it to be meaningful. I didn’t want to sell women more products that complicate their lives. I love the simplicity, the confidence [coming from when] a woman knows, ‘Okay, I’m covered, I got this, and now I can get to the business of living,’” recalled Cindy during the convo.

“On social media, people want…the curtain pulled back. They want to see the real you.…It’s a little scary for me getting into that realm, but then getting the response from women who are my fans or Meaningful Beauty users, it’s a great conversation starter,” she added.

And in case you were wondering, Meaningful Beauty is far from the only thing Cindy uses her name and likeness for. In 2009, she launched the Cindy Crawford Style Collection—a line of home goods—for J.C. Penney, and she even had a furniture line called Cindy Crawford HOME with Raymour & Flanigan.

Plus, we’re sure the supermodel will also rake in moolah from her upcoming Apple TV+ documentary The Supermodels, which is set to debut on September 20!

Her real estate portfolio is seriously impressive

Cindy and her husband Rande Gerber own (or have owned!) a number of very impressive (read: expensive) properties over the years, including:

  • A $1.85 million Malibu home the couple bought in 1998. Eventually, Cindy and Rande listed the property in 2019 for $7.495 million. And according to Architectural Digest, nearly one year later, a buyer put down $6.5 million for the home. However, once the COVID-19 pandemic hit, the buyer backed out of the purchase and the couple canceled the sale and even refunded the deposit. Per the outlet, it remains unclear whether the property was sold afterward.

  • Yet another property in Malibu that, per Celebrity Net Worth, the couple paid $4.8 million for in 1999. Fast-forward to 2015, and they paid an additional $50.5 million for the two-parcel property next door to create a 6-acre compound. In 2018, they sold half of the property for $45 million. And, yes, you can even get a sneak peek of it in Cindy’s “73 Questions” interview with Vogue.

  • A Beverly Hills home that was purchased for $11.625 in 2017 from musician Ryan Tedder.

  • A mansion located in the El Dorado Golf & Beach Club community in Los Cabos, Mexico, where Rande’s Casamigos partner, *the* George Clooney, casually had a house next door. In 2016, a Mexican billionaire paid $100 million to buy both estates at once, per Celebrity Net Worth. Must! Be! Nice!

  • A 23-acre property bought in 2014 for $6 million in the hills above Malibu that at one time was a camp for kids. In 2016, the supermodel and her husband reportedly sold it for $13.3 million.

So what is Cindy Crawford’s net worth in total?

Oh, that would be a cool $400 million, per Celebrity Net Worth, in a combined total that also includes Rande’s immense wealth. The more you know!
