When the Cindy Crawford spills a beauty secret (or three!), we’d be remiss not to give you the scoop because let’s be honest, who wouldn’t want that kind of advice from her?
Well, you’re in luck, because the supermodel recently shared the makeup products that never leave her bag. She was actually asked to name her top favorite, but in the spirit of a true beauty lover, she simply couldn’t narrow it down.
“Who can pick just one?” she recently told Byrdie. “Essentials are a little coverup stick (like the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Ginger), a dewy color that works on cheeks, eyelids, and lips (like the Jones Road Miracle Balm in Tawny), and mascara (like the Heroine Make Volume and Curl Mascara).”
In another interview with The Zoe Report, she said she also like’s Heroine Make’s Long and Curl version—the waterproof one.
“I like the brush and the way it applies because I don’t like clumpy [lashes], I just like that long definition,” she said.
Those tried-and-true multipurpose basics help Crawford achieve her staple look every time. One of her top tips is “don’t let your makeup wear you,” she told Byrdie, which is easily accomplished by her barely there favorites. “The best compliment isn’t, ‘Your makeup looks great.’ I think it’s, ‘You look great!’” she said.
On days when the actress wants a bit more coverage and drama, she’ll wear a tinted moisturizer and bronzer. Right now she’s loving Ilia’s Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 (“It’s a skin tint, an SPF 40, and has a little bit of that glow, so I love that for summer,” she told TZR.) and Charlotte Tilbury’s Airbrush Matte Bronzer. “I think Charlotte’s products are so user-friendly—they’re hard to mess up, and I love that,” she explained.
Regardless of which look she chooses, Crawford always sticks to the tips she’s gleaned from her 30-plus years in the industry. “The few that I’ve passed along to girlfriends are the ones that are good for everyone: Make sure your foundation matches your skin and is well-blended, comb through your eyelashes so your eyelashes don’t look clumpy, and don’t over-tweeze your eyebrows when you are young,” she urged. “They might not grow back.”
