Cinco de Mayo in Orlando: Celebrate with events and deals

Cinco de Mayo is an annual celebration on May 5 involving tacos, margaritas and merriment for many across the United States.

What the holiday actually commemorates is the victory of Mexican troops over French forces in an 1862 battle. Modern-day revelers can celebrate in Orlando-area venues hosting food and drink specials, plus honor Mexican culture. Here are a few ideas for Cinco de Mayo.

SeaWorld Orlando hosts a fiesta for Cinco de Mayo with special happenings inside the park (through May 5) during the Seven Seas Food Festival.
