It began at about 8 a.m. and lasted until about 10:40 a.m. with its peak at about 9:30 a.m. About 50 people attended the event. A solar eclipse is when the moon comes between the Earth and Sun. That's when the moon is at its farthest from the Earth and it doesn't entirely block out the Sun but leaves a ring often called the "ring of fire." A total eclipse will occur on April, 8 2024.
