As Peaky Blinders wraps up its sixth and final season this summer, fans are gearing up for the feature-length film that was announced just over a year ago.

In a new interview with Deadline, Cillian Murphy who stars as the titular Tommy Shelby character in the series revealed that he does not know much of what is going on with the film. Previously, creator Stephen Knight mentioned that he has a clear vision for how the film will play out, not revealing many details. Murph talked about the potential film and said, "I'd be as excited as anybody to read a script. But I think it's good for everyone to have a little break. That's always a healthy thing and then we can regroup."

He also adds that he is up for the role stating, "Steve is an insanely busy and in-demand writer, but I know that he loves writing Peaky above all. He adores it. So I think when the time comes, if there's more story to be told, I'll be there." Previously, Knight spoke to Esquire about the direction he wants to take the film and how season six will set the precedent for the storyline, "In series six we're bringing in the new generation, and they are going to be part of what happens in [the] film. I think it's finding those actors that you just watch and you think, there you go. There's the future. The film, I know exactly what it's about. And I know what two stories it’s going to tell. How the story will unfold, I don't know. What will happen after that, I want that to depend on the film."

Season six of Peaky Blinders is available now in the U.S. on Netflix.

Elsewhere in entertainment, Netflix and BioWare have linked up for an animated Dragon Age series.
