Cillian Murphy just made a rare appearance with his son, Aran, and we can’t get over the resemblance.

Over the weekend, the Oppenheimer star, 47, attended the 81st annual Golden Globe Awards at The Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles. Although he walked most of the red carpet solo, he was joined for part of the carpet and all of the ceremony by his wife, Yvonne McGuinness, and their 16-year-old son, Aran.

The above photo features Robert Downey Jr. standing next to the actor and his wife, along with Murphy’s lookalike son. The resemblance between Murphy and Aran is uncanny, including everything from their shaggy haircuts to their sharp facial features.

Aran was also briefly spotted on the red carpet pre-ceremony with his dad as cameras snapped away.

Murphy and his wife share two sons together: Malachy, born in 2005, and Aran, born in 2007. The couple met during Murphy’s international tour for his first-ever play, Disco Pigs. While few details about their wedding have been publicly revealed, we do know they tied the knot in 2004 at her father's vineyard, Domaine des Anges, in Provence, France.

Murphy recently made headlines after winning the 2024 Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Motion Picture (Drama) for Oppenheimer. The actor was nominated against Bradley Cooper for Maestro, Leonardo DiCaprio for Killers of the Flower Moon, Colman Domingo for Rustin, Barry Keoghan for Saltburn and Andrew Scott for All of Us Strangers.

What a beautiful family.
