Ciara posted a no-makeup, extension-free selfie to Instagram.
In her caption, the singer wrote that she's "finally embracing" herself fully.

In anticipation of Ciara's new album, Beauty Marks (it's out May 10th), the Lose Control singer shared some serious goodies with her 21.9 million Instagram followers: a no-makeup and extension-free selfie. It's a big departure for the artist who is known for her stunning makeup looks. Not to mention her hair which she loves to switch up often, whether that be with full-flowing curls, or a sexy bob cut. The 33-year-old singer captioned the photo, "No makeup. No extensions. Vulnerable. My Beauty Marks and all. The real me.. and I love it. Finally embracing myself fully! It feels good." It should feel good, Ciara looks amazing and shockingly well-rested-a serious feat for any mom of two.
It's reassuring to know that even insanely gorgeous mega stars like Ciara have the same kinds of insecurities as us normal people. I mean, who hasn't felt vulnerable posting a selfie, let alone a makeup-free one? Ciara is urging her fans to follow in her footsteps and post their own raw selfies with the hashtag #BeautyMarks.⠀

Ciara's fans could not be more supportive of her no-makeup Instagram selfie. So far, over 12,000 people have commented about how amazing she looks, and how they're feeling her message. "Absolutely gorgeous inside and out. No makeup will ever change that! 🙌🏼🙏🏼❤️" said one fan. Another, "Thank you we need more of transparency in this industry."
The most aww-inducing comment of all though? The one from her husband, Seattle Seahawks quarterback, Russell Wilson. He kept it short and sweet with a simple, "So beautiful." I can't help but agree.
