Ciara, Diplo and More Celebs Prove Those Viral Red Boots Aren't Going Anywhere

It seems like everyone is rocking the big red shoes that make you look like a cartoon character.

Art collective MSCHF released its trending new shoe called the Big Red Boot on Feb 16, which, as the name suggests, are big red boots that make you look like you jumped right out of a cartoon. Now, plenty of A-listers are already jumping on the trend, with more to follow soon.

One of the biggest stars to give the new shoes a shot is Ciara, who posted a reel on Instagram showing off her look.

In the video, Ciara rocks the boots with a long black t-shirt as she dances to a new song in a mirror. She captioned the video, "Positive Affirmations. Speaking life into myself! #DaGirls."

Actress Kerry Washington loved the outfit, specifically how Ciara styled the boots, commenting, "Best these boots have ever looked 🔥."

A fan wrote, "Ciara is the ONLY celebrity that’s gon make them boots look cute because her swag ….that’s it! Fight me 😂😂."

So far, most people either love or hate the new shoes, with very little in between.

DJ and music producer Diplo wore the shoes to a Knicks basketball game, showing off photos on Instagram and saying, "Just an Astro boy looking for his Astro girl."

Eric André, who had a short fling with model Emily Ratajkowski—pictured next to Diplo—recently, commented on the post, "👠 👠."

Fellow music producer and lead singer of OneRepublic, Ryan Tedder, joked, "Someone memed ur feet bruh."

Celebrity stylist Emily B took the Big Red Boot out on the town recently, captioning the post, "It’s my Birthday 🎈😂."

Depending on the styling, it looks like some people are changing their tune about the boots, with one fan writing, "I hate these boots, but you pulled them off so well🔥❤️❤️."

The official MSCHF Sneakers Instagram shared several photos of Lil Wayne pairing the Big Red Boot with yellow and black striped shorts and an oversized white button-down.

It appears that basketball games are the popular place to wear the new footwear, with rapper Coi Leray also showing off the Big Red Boot at a Brooklyn Nets game recently.

SZA wrote, "These are so cute on you 😭," while a fan proclaimed, "The only person doing the boots justice."

Actress and singer Janelle Monáe also got into the trend, wearing the red shoes while casually playing basketball, but she later went a step further, getting her Big Red Boots customized to look like the bright sky with clouds.

She wrote, "Pre game allstar. Big floatin.☁️☁️☁️ thank you @lowrydointhangs 4 customizing my @mschf."

Kate Hudson loved them, writing, "❤️❤️❤️," in the comments, while comedian, actress, and podcast host Michelle Buteau commented, "yes ma’am 🔥."

Even WWE wrestler Seth Rollins gave them a whirl during his WWE Raw entrance, sharing a video on Instagram and writing, "New boot goofin."

One fan declared him the winner of the trend, stating: "Everybody else can take the boots off now, he wins 😂."

It seems like the trend is here to stay, however, and it's only a matter of time before we see more celebrities joining in!
