Christmas in July Returns to Great American Family With Brand-New Premiere

Love them or hate them, Christmas movies abound. There are so many out there now that you can pretty much find a Christmas movie playing somewhere year round. Hallmark Channel was first to corner the market on holiday films over a decade ago and they literally have hundreds of films to choose from. Lifetime, Freeform, CBS, Netflix and others also have a variety of holiday films in their cache. Upstart network Great American Family also has a growing library of original Christmas movies.

Headed by former Hallmark exec, Bill Abbott, Great American Family launched their Great American Christmas lineup a few years ago and they have a couple dozen films under their belt. To celebrate these films, they're bringing back their "Christmas in July" lineup which features holiday movies 24/7 beginning June 30 and running through the month of July. You'll see plenty of old favorite Great American Family movies as well as the premiere of a brand-new holiday flick, A Belgian Chocolate Christmas.

In A Belgian Chocolate Christmas, a photographer takes her best friend's place at a Belgian culinary school at the holidays and connects with the chocolatier leading the class. As romance begins to bloom, the only problem is a case of mistaken identity. The film stars Jaclyn Hales and Zane Stephens and premieres on Saturday, July 8 at 8 p.m. ET. Check out the trailer for the film below.

The network also announced production has begun on Paris Christmas Waltz, a sort of sequel to Hallmark Channel's popular Christmas Waltz. Former Young and the Restless actor Michael Damian directed the original film and will also direct Paris Christmas Waltz. He and his wife, Janeen Damian collaborate on writing again for this follow-up that takes viewers to the City of Light. Paris Christmas Waltz stars Jen Lilley and Glee's Matthew Morrison.

In Paris Christmas Waltz, Emma (Lilley) relinquishes her job so a colleague with a family will keep his. Contemplating life’s next steps, Emma meets a professional dancer, Leo (Morrison) whose love for competitive dancing is waning, until a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity arises for the novice to join the pro and sweep all of Paris off its feet.

Great American Christmas begins on Oct. 21 with new holiday movie premieres every Saturday and Sunday and 24/7 Christmas movies through the end of the year.
