One would imagine that working with an ex would be difficult (to say the least), but when you have a hit TV show like Flip or Flop together, it's not as easy as "do" or "don't."

In Tarek and Christina El Moussa's first joint interview since their divorce, TODAY Show anchor Natalie Morales asked them the question we've all been wondering: Why did they decide to continue together? Especially since Christina's in a serious relationship with new beau Ant Anstead.

"It was up and down, up and down," Tarek starts. "We've been doing this for a really long time, it's who we are, what we do. To just throw everything away...it wasn't worth it." To which Christina added, "And we have two amazing kids together, so it's easier to work together and get along."

Of course, as they film Season 8 of the show, Tarek and Christina admit there are more days than not that they want to kill one another. But despite it all, the two agree it's actually easier filming together now than it was two years ago, when tensions were at their highest.

When it comes to dating, it was pretty clear that Tarek wasn't interesting in talking about it. See for yourself by watching the full interview-and get the scoop on Tarek's feelings about Ant Anstead, and the story of the time the show's director had to step in during one of their fights before things got too personal:

In case you missed it at the end, Hoda Kotb's reaction is pretty priceless: "That is awkward."
