Christina on the Coast is back, with all new episodes every Thursday night at 9 pm on HGTV. Season 2 kicked off tonight with a kitchen and living room renovation for firefighter Travis, his wife Jamie, and their three sons.

In this episode, Christina was tasked with making sure the space followed a "rustic farmhouse" style with very "clean and white" elements, per Jamie's request, but was also designed in a "functional firehouse" manner, per Travis' request. He explained that in his firehouse, space is efficiently allotted for the squad to cook and clean. Thus he wanted a design similar to that in his own home, where everything has a purpose.

While Christina discussed this new project with friend Cassie on a lunch date, she shared some good news of her own—though if you've been keeping up with the 36-year-old on social media, you might already know all about it. Christina revealed she's pregnant with her first child with new husband Ant Anstead. (Christina also has two children from her previous marriage with her Flip or Flop partner Tarek El Moussa).

While Christina is thrilled to be growing her family, she still has a challenge ahead of her. With the couple's consent, she transformed their living room and kitchen area into an open floor plan model equipped with vinyl flooring, the most durable of materials. Christina opted for white shaker cabinetry, a colored island, white countertops with a marble variation, and chrome fixtures. The biggest challenge arose when picking out which tiles should be used for the kitchen backsplash—you'll have to watch to see how that one went down!

Thankfully, all loose ends were fixed by the final reveal, and Jamie and Travis are thrilled with the end product. Their previous arrangement had boasted orange and green walls, as well as two different types of flooring. There was a lot of space available, but with very little purpose. Christina was able to open up the space by eliminating the wall, creating a uniform and stylish color scheme, and maximizing the efficiency of the kitchen.

The episode ends with one last reveal from Christina: it's a boy! Since these episodes were filmed many months in advance, you may recall that Christina has already given birth to lil' Hudson London in September 2019. This new season of Christina on the Coast will give fans a look into how she managed her pregnancy while working magic in her client's homes. Watch below for a sneak peek at what you can expect during season 2.
