The 'Dead to Me' star hinted at a possible retirement from acting in a new interview.

Christina Applegate might be parting ways with Hollywood, at least when it comes to being in front of the camera.

The Dead to Me star, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2021, recently dropped hints that her acting career might have already wrapped.

"Right now, I couldn't imagine getting up at 5 a.m. and spending 12 to 14 hours on a set," the 51-year-old actress revealed in an interview with the Los Angeles Times published on Tuesday, Feb. 7. "I don't have that in me at this moment."

She further stated that the upcoming Screen Actors Guild awards, scheduled to take place on Feb. 26, will be her "last awards show as an actor probably," which she said was "kind of a big deal." Applegate is among the nominees for Female Actor in a Comedy Series for her role as Jen Harding in Netflix's Dead to Me, which dropped its third and final season in November 2022.

But the Married...with Children alum isn't writing off the industry entirely, as she plans on "doing a s—t ton of voice-overs to make some cash to make sure that my daughter's fed and we're homed." (Applegate shares 12-year-old daughter Sadie Grace with husband Martyn LeNoble.)

Applegate noted that it has been difficult watching herself on-screen in the newest season of Dead to Me, which was filmed after she was diagnosed with MS.

"I don't like seeing myself struggling," she explained. "I gained 40 pounds because of inactivity and medications, and I didn't look like myself, and I didn't feel like myself."

But she said she was eventually "able to distance myself from my own ego and realize what a beautiful piece of television it was."

"All the scenes I wasn't in were so much fun to see and experience for the very first time," she added of the Netflix series, which co-stars Linda Cardellini.

"[Cardellini] literally pulled me under her wing and protected me, and took care of me every single day," the Anchorman alum added. "The tables were turned. Jen is taking care of her friend who's dying, yet Linda was taking care of me as I was saying goodbye to the person that I'd always known—so part of me was dying."

Dead to Me is currently streaming all episodes on Netflix.
