Earlier this week, Flip or Flop star Christina Anstead opened up about how she battles autoimmune issues while raising children. In video posted to her Instagram, the home renovation expert talks about how taking supplements are helping her stay healthy. “I have autoimmune conditions and I also have a 4-month-old,” she says in the video. “So it’s so important that I stay healthy and that my brain stays active that way I’ll be able to be on for all the kids and work.”

She takes NatureWise supplements, which are non-GMO, all-natural, and gluten free. In addition, she takes probiotics for a healthy gut and magnesium to help her sleep. For her autoimmune conditions, she takes Curcuimin, which she describes as an autoimmune powerhouse.

Near the end of the video, her husband Ant and their 4-month-old son Hudson London join Christina. She says that since Ant’s New Year’s resolution was to get more fit, he takes CLA 1250, which she says enhances exercise and helps promote lean muscle mass.

In the post’s comment section, Christiana continued her discussion about battling an autoimmune disease by responding to her fans. One person asked her what autoimmune disease she has. Christiana answered that she has Hashimoto’s thyroid disease and PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome). She also has skin flare ups when she eats certain foods.

When another fan commented that she was also diagnosed with Hashimoto's and was very sick after her second baby, Christina wrote that after having babies, the bodies of those who autoimmune issues go into shock. That’s why it’s important to stay on top of it.

One fan asked if she sees a naturopathic doctor, and Christina enthusiastically responded that she loves her naturopathic doctors. "I go to Newport Integrative Health (dr. Peggy Branson) for my autoimmune stuff and harmony Wellness Clinic in San Juan Capistrano-@drkaisacoppola for all my supplements and eczema issues," she wrote.

Christina’s battle with autoimmune disease isn’t slowing her down, though. We’re only two episodes into season 2 of Christina on the Coast (in the latest episode, Anstead remodels the home of former Flip or Flop producer Michael Pando). Additionally, a new season of Flip or Flop, starring Christina and her ex-husband Tarek El Moussa, is set to premiere in August 2020.
