How Christina Anstead Handled Losing Her Dream House on Camera
Christina Anstead's search for the perfect home continues on the latest Christina on The Coast-and it's anything but smooth sailing.
"I never thought I'd say this, but doing reno in other people's homes is less stressful than my current living situation," Christina revealed when talking about the difficulties of searching for her ideal forever home.
In the newest episode of Christina on The Coast, it seemed as though the designer found the perfect space for her new blended family with then-boyfriend Ant and their combined four children (now soon to be five!) to live in.
"This is the first house I've actually toured that I can really envision us all living at," Christina said in an on-camera interview. She toured the five-bedroom, seven-bathroom $3.7 million Newport Beach house with her best friend, Cassie Zebisch, in tow. It checked a ton of boxes for the designer-even Christina herself thought it seemed almost too good to be true.
There's a three-car garage, ample space for the kids, an enormous backyard with a pool and entertaining space, and the holy grail-a beautiful walk-in closet. Christina even let out an "aaaaaaahhhhhh" when she opened the double doors. I feel you, girl.
Christina hurried to put an offer on it-but unfortunately, not everything worked out.
An offer came in around the same time as the designer's, and she wasn't really ready to get into a bidding war.
"I'm so disappointed I didn't get the house," Christina said, deflated. "I really thought it would be the one."
Luckily, Christina was able to pop by Ant's garage to get cheered up-the "motorhead" (as Christina calls him) took her for a spin in a tiny vintage car to liven up her mood. Of course, it worked!
