The year is 2002. Your mom won’t drive you to Hot Topic because she’s “busy,” you’re angst-ily drawing song lyrics on the tip of your Converse with a Sharpie, Travis Barker is your celebrity crush, and Christina Aguilera just dropped her instantly iconic new album Stripped. The mood? Xtina topless with super-long hair and lace-up pants—a simply legendary look that she’s out here recreating in this, our year 2021.

Why, you ask? To promote her upcoming appearance at LadyLand Festival in Brooklyn, duh. “One week until @ladylandfestival ✨💕,” Xtina mused. “Who’s going to be there?”

On top of recreating Stripped, Christina is celebrating her debut self-titled album coming out 22 years ago (wow, I’m ancient):

She’s clearly in a nostalgic mood lately, because she also posted this throwback to Back to Basics:

Honestly, would very much be here for Xtina recreating every single one of her album covers. Till that hopeful eventuality, catch her at Ladyland Festival on September 11 at the Brooklyn Mirage. (Go ahead and buy tickets at the link below.)
