Christie Brinkley and Jimmy Fallon are soaking up a bit of summer sun together!

The model shared a series of photos in which the pair, on the edge of a large crowd, attempted to encircle the setting sun in between their thumb and index fingers, each laughing and smiling as they failed in their mission.

Fallon wore a pink and white patterned short-sleeved button-up tee with a gem-encrusted green broach, while Brinkley wore a floral patterned button-up blouse or dress with a series of beaded necklaces and earrings.

The pair were present for a benefit concert, hosted by Rufus Wainwright, to save Montauk Point Lighthouse—New York's first lighthouse, according to its Instagram account.

"Jimmy Fallon was one of Rufus Wainwright’s friends to share the stage with him as he decided to spend his 50th Birthday saving the most beautiful Lighthouse on the eastern seaboard our beloved @mtk_lighthouse," Brinkley wrote in the caption of the photoset.

She called the evening "nothing short of Magical," later emphasizing, "oh what a night!" She wrapped it up by writing, "Thank you for spending your birthday saving our shoreline treasure Rufus! ⚓️."

The post also included a selection of brief video clips, with someone on a mic comically narrating as Fallon apparently ran away after he was called to the stage, sneaking in a quick selfie with a group of kids before rushing back to his responsibility for the event.

"Honestly the best moment was Jimmy delaying the show!!!! 😂," one attendee wrote in the comments.

"This looks like such a fun night!! ❤️," another follower noted.

Some even wanted to know how they could help with the landmark's preservation project, though Brinkley hasn't shared anything about that in response.

According to Long Island Business News, restoration began in 2019, due to concerns about the potential impact of extreme weather in the future. The East Hampton Star reported earlier this year that a new retaining wall was well ahead of schedule (and over budget), with site cleanup, staging area restoration, and planting new vegetation said to be all that was left at the time. It's unclear what stage the project is at now, or if there are any new projects to come.
