Christian Siriano Offers to Design Megan Mullally a Gown After No Other Designers Will Dress Her

When it comes to prepping for a major awards show, most Hollywood actresses turn to their stylist or even a notable designer for their dress needs. But not Megan Mullally — she was left hunting down a gown all by herself.

The 50-year-old recently shared an honest post on Instagram about her struggle to find gowns for the 2019 Screen Actors Guild Awards, which she will be hosting in January, writing that no designer would send her dresses.

“Looks like I will be buying my dress online though, as per usual, even though there is literally a 100 percent chance that I will be on camera because I’M HOSTING IT,” she wrote. “Designers do not send me dresses.”

The actress hinted that this was not the first time she's had no choice but to resort to online shopping for her red-carpet dress. However, after an attempt to order a dress online from Saks Fifth Avenue proved to be unsuccessful, due to the retailer canceling her order, Mullally found herself with the possibility of not having a dress for her big night.

Enter: Christian Siriano – designer of some of the dreamiest dresses to ever grace the red carpet. The fashion designer quickly came to Mullally’s rescue, like the fashion super hero that he is, offering to dress her for the awards show.

“I would love to dress you!” he commented on the post. To double down on the sentiment, the designer followed up his comment by tweeting out, “Hey @MeganMullally would love to dress you anytime any day! Xo.”

We hope that Mullally takes the Project Runway alum on his offer, because if Siriano has proven anything, it's that he knows how to create a Red Carpet Moment. Not to mention, the Will & Grace star would be in the good company of another fellow actress that Siriano saved from a fashion emergency.

Back in 2016, when Leslie Jones tweeted that she was having trouble finding a dress to wear to her Ghostbusters premiere, Siriano messaged her that he would design her a dress, ultimately saving the day.

And she looked amazing.

So, maybe we'll be seeing Mullally in some custom Siriano at the SAG Awards come January?
